That’s exactly what we need. Religious nutjobs meddling in the potentially dark AI future.
Indeed, just wanted to make sure people are aware. :)
Cheers
FYI: /etc/grub.d/10_linux
should not be edited directly for permanent changes since those changes get replaced when grub is updated.
Use /etc/default/grub
for permanent changes.
I am aware, I am using an alternative service myself for several years now. My point was that having an email service that helps fund Thunderbird would be nice. Furthermore, more alternative that ethically align with my views are always good.
In addition, we’re going to develop the tools that give people choices other than the big three.
This sentence at the very end makes me very curious. Is this a hint for a Thunderbird mail service or something similar?
On the one hand I would love to have a mail service offered by the Thunderbird team that would also fund Thunderbird development. On the other hand it’s probably not a good idea to split the development resources too thin.
It’s a work in progress. Most sites won’t work but some do. Check out this latest development update video: https://inv.tux.pizza/watch?v=giq5iXJntgQ&t=911 That link leads directly to the “demo segment” where he opens some sites.
The browser was at first only available in serentyOS itself but lately is available as a stand alone program running on other OSs as well. It’s still pretty early days, I am exited to see where all this leads tho!
Yes and they implement EVERYTHING in house. In case you haven’t heard they also started implementing a browser engine from scratch https://ladybird.dev/ just for fun. It kinda took off and they even got some nice donations, just to keep it going and see where it leads.
The “founders” youtube channel is quit interesting. Especially the monthly update videos if you want to keep up to date with the latest developments. https://inv.tux.pizza/channel/UC3ts8coMP645hZw9JSD3pqQ
Not sure why you get immediately so confrontational. Of course I know those things exist and can be a problem but it wasn’t at all clear to me that you were talking about those things. That’s why I asked for clarification.
I get it, some people try to trigger other by asking obvious questions but don’t assume the worst in all of us.
Honestly, I have no idea what you are referring to either. Would you mind sending me a message if you don’t want to go into detail in public?
Have a look at https://www.picoctf.org/
They have a lot of challenges and resources to get you started.
Also if it is an 60fps video I start hearing the fans spinning like mad
ok this is definitely not normal. Check the temperature of your GPU. Is the GPU physically clean? Is the air flow ok? Do you have the chance to test with a different GPU? An overheating GPU can definitely lead to the described symptoms.
I was in a similar situation not too long ago and couldn’t find anything to fix it either at first. One thing that was high on my list was changing my PSU since a defect or weak one often seems to be a problem in such cases. Besides a general hardware failure of course. If it’s the hardware that could be anything really. Motherboard, RAM, GPU, PSU. PSU is the easiest to switch tho, so if you go that route I would try that first.
Anyways, I never had to do this cause in my case, believe it or not, a BIO update fixed my problem. I am still not 100% sure what happened but I think the update fixed the GPU voltage distribution or something similar.
Hope that help at least a little bit.
I think you meant to say serpentOS?
Also: https://libredirect.github.io
Browser extension with support for a lot of different frontends.
no problem, you always learn something. :)
I wish lemmy would block amp links flat out.
