Edit: Title used to be me asking what set it was. Legitimately didn’t think it was the Battle Bridge because of how incredibly low budget it looked in comparison to the battle bridge I remembered from Farpoint. It is indeed Battle Bridge from Best of Both Worlds Part 2 as others pointed out.

I am the dumb.

The Battle Bridge was originally considered a standing set. It was actually a modification of the 1701 bridge set from the first four movies. However, once the producers decided it was too expensive to shoot saucer separations on a regular basis, it got frequently redressed for other things, including the court room in “Measure of a Man” and the Enterprise C bridge in “Yesterday’s Enterprise.” By the time they were shooting “Best of Both Worlds, Part II,” they had to do work to restore it.

I actually like the monitors in the background. I do question their utility, with all the crew members facing forward, and the fact that they’re at floor level for anyone standing back there, but…

Looks like the Battle Bridge of the D. You can see the diagram of the ship sans saucer section above his right hand

I ended up watching SNW really late. Only started Season 1 as 2 was airing and only finished Season 2 last week. That Lower Decks episode, and the Subspace Rhapsody episode, are absolute fucking joys.

But the reason I make the comment is this. Did you know the ‘Riker!’ line was ad libbed by Jack Quaid? Both him and Frakes were doing an interview and Frakes pointed it out.

Yes, and the fact that Frakes was standing right there directing makes the scene that much more hilarious!

Exactly! I can’t believe I forgot to mention that.

Frakes is a fucking excellent director so I always look forward to his episodes of Discovery and Strange New Worlds. Finding out that the fucking Lower Decks episode was the one he was directing? Perfect.

          I love that man.

Based on the display on the left with the missing saucer… I’m gonna guess Ent-D battle bridge?
