    Yeah, it’s the least surprising news of the day. What I find interesting is that from all appearances now it seems Putin’s invasion of Ukraine depended largely on a second Trump term so that he’d actively work to sabotage NATO’s response. Why he decided to move forward without his errand boy must come down to hubris and being surrounded by yes-men.

      There’s a theory that a lot of Russian people with power started to pose a threat to Putin. And Putin simply used the war to clear up the ranks. Just look how many generals and oligarchs have died one way or another during the first year. And how rich those who stayed loyal have become.
