The work these groups do will be critical during a second Trump Administration.

I’d rather see organizations that I can join and DO something rather than give money to. So many organizations will take your money but dont want to talk to you otherwise.

Almost every single time I’ve asked “what can i do?” I have been told that it’s just so much easier to donate. We just want to pay our staff (as if I’m the one holding that back from them).

I actively participate in local politics and i can tell you that 90% of the organizations i see in my area are “nationwide” and absolute no shows at Town/Village meetings/hearings.

If you are gonna donate to charities, vet them a little. I’m not saying the majority of them are not legit, i simply disagree with how some orgs go about implementation so i choose based off that.

I’ll also say that especially with the upcoming recession we might be facing, mutual aid is incredibly important. If you’re in a big city, find your local Food Not Bombs chapter, or just Google “mutual aid [your area]”. I guarantee you that someone has put something together in your city or county.

I dont get this. They can’t help you take to the streets. They’re lobbyists and investigate journalists. You need staff to so that. You can apply for a job, if you’d like.
