They are very skilled at learning to tune out the little nagging voice that says, “now hold on a minute, that doesn’t jive with the objective reality I am currently experiencing…” I imagine many don’t even get the voice at all anymore. It’s a win for them, because they get to believe that they’re always right, even when it’s literally impossible
