@Metal_Zealot@Aopen Sadly, it’s much more unlikely for #PeerTube to become a success than it is for Mastodon or Lemmy. Hosting videos is actually kind of expensive and there will be no ad revenue as there is no way to have ads in a federated world.
I just want peoples’ source of income to be less dependant on ad revenue I guess… If everything else were less expensive, and if I knew my favourite content creators were GENIUNELY benefiting from the money I donate, I would be more inclined.
I hate that there’s always some company or middle man between me and who I want to give my money to,
