I’m reasonably confident that karma is in history books after he dies. Until then, he’s likely Chief Justice over a court packed with people agreeing with him.
Especially if this next election goes a certain way.

Biden is likely to go out and wring his hands about the difficult situation for everyone involved in the conflict. He’ll show it is something he thinks about, then it will (likely) decrease the pressure on him.
Because he wrung his hands on a stage and/or into a microphone.
My theory is that people think that counts as being heard.
Edit: my apologies if my earlier brevity sounded like a dismissal of your point. I was attempting to agree and, well… didn’t provide enough context.
Thank you for the question.
The care bear Dems will hold hands and care the situation away.
Fighting for anything is only just starting to be considered. But it’s so very late, now.
Hope we never get to what you describe. We need the laws and LEO to do what’s right and keep things from sliding. Very hard to know that may not happen and I deeply wish Biden held himself to one term.
He has a considerable polling and enthusiasm gap now - and this isn’t the time for that to be true.
As a someone on the left, few things are as persuasive and soothing as wrung hands.
Ego. True believer in himself. Power. Legacy.
He’s a sometimes boy scout, but I don’t see a lifetime politician bowing out after getting the nomination.
Biden’s actions speak louder than his words. He’s running despite knowing others poll better.
Is there proof of deception? If there are credible allegations, someone - a journalist or fed - should go under cover to document it.
Has that happened yet? Honest question.
Texas has about 1.6 million undocumented immigrants. They’re going to have to step up their bus game if they’re going to run out of “cheap labor.”
Also: undocumented <> unskilled. A variety of jobs may not require a certificate or degree, but are not unskilled.
Why would Iran want Trump??
The Red Sea is a corridor of piracy. That Iran appears to be using it as an opportunity for broader conflict doesn’t make it tied to Israel; it makes it tied to Iran.
Now, both the US and Iran are using proxies, so the secondary conflict area may not quite be what it is otherwise, but if the US pulled support for Israel, free passage through the Red Sea would still be of strategic value.
Mush like the seas around SE Asia.
Taiwan didn’t split from the mainland. The mainland was conquered in the Civil War and the communists declared themselves victor over everything.
Taiwan was never captured.
He’s trying to say that whether he did it or not, it’s moot. Avoids all the fuss of a trial.
He’s wrong. But that’s his argument.
It’s like getting a ticket for chewing gum. The first thing you’d do is point out it’s not illegal. Then you’d move to, “I was eating.”
Both work, but one puts the ticket on trial, not you.
If you find this meme relatable due to anxiety (I do), meditation helped me so much.
My employer pays for a meditation subscription and it didn’t just teach me breathing or how to think about “nothing.” It taught me to note the thought/feeling, label it as one of the two and let it go.
I’m not where I want to be, but I’m much closer.
I’ve read Machiavelli’s The Discourses on Livy and he makes a potent point about republics: because people feel they have some investment in the government - and something to lose - they fight harder.
A key difference versus fighting members of a monarchy.
You make a fair point that the government and its economy aren’t serving you well. The more people feel that way, the less effective a military may be.
People fight to keep things they care about. If the government isn’t one, that’s important.

Whose responsibility would that be? State, federal, city, county?
Border states have been ignored for decades. Once Spanish was a language you heard across America, people paid more attention.
Where should these 90k people live? That’s an honest question. It is. Should they get housing when homeless Americans don’t? Should they be given a bus voucher that can’t be sold? What are border states supposed to do?
If a real border could be done while handling environmental and race concerns, I’m down for it. Climate change may make this all seem timid and we’re acting like that’s not a thing.
I keep hearing that they’re misled. I can believe it. Has anyone gone undercover for a story or as an investigation to see what actually happens?
We need some hard reporting because all I see now is racial bias being triggered on the left. It’s done with the best of intentions, but it’s there nonetheless.
I live in California. Soon they’ll be eligible to get Medical insurance. I have no issue with this. Let’s empower people. Not resent them in some kind of low key way.
If they can’t monetize, they drop. In business terms that makes sense. No profit? Stop the bleeding.
In a wider sense though, Google has done a tremendous job at showing me I can’t rely on them for almost anything. I’ve begun moving email, search, browser, cloud storage… Within a few months Android Auto will be the only thing I can’t undo, except to use my car’s nav. Maybe I’ll do that too.
If no one has a job, there are no customers.
Rational self-interest can only operate alone for so long. Then all the rules change, one way or another.
“Starve the beast” it’s a thing. They weren’t joking.
Cut taxes and force government to shrink and lose power.
