I have to call people for work to let them know when I’ll arrive to provide the service. 3/4 of the time nobody answers, of those half either don’t have vm setup or it is full and won’t take an messages. The only people who do pick up are the elderly.

I’m not reading that whole post, but in answer to the title. I use an android for my personal phone and an iPhone for my work phone. I’ve used both side by side for more than the last 10 years. Without a doubt the android phone is more functional and easier to use. I don’t give a shit about cameras, messaging apps, or brand loyalty. The android is more affordable and allows me to send texts, surf the internet, and watch YouTube without adds through vanced. I would never consider getting an iPhone as my personal use phone.

Them being loaded in more ways than one doesn’t make me feel any better about it. This coming from a gun owning liberal. I don’t just go around shooting it off in my back yard several times a week.

Live in a suburban area. Several of my neighbors have 5+ acres of land. One of them has a makeshift range, so I hear someone shooting all the time, sometimes for hours on end day after day. I’m not thrilled by it.

This is a problem with a lot of digital content these days. You don’t own anything, it’s all leased from the company and can be taken away at any time. It’s worse for video games where everything is now online even for single player games.

I only really eat one meal a day and it’s a big one. Would be like a 2L of soda and a large pizza or a sub and app from a restaurant. I wouldn’t have it delivered but it was easily 25 bucks a day for that one meal. Now I meal prep egg cups for breakfast and cook up a big batch of chicken tacos for the week or just make rice or salad for dinner. Grocery bills under 80$ for a week. I only have one mouth to feed though and I hate cooking.

I went from eating out every single day to making everything at home for the last 4 months. Cut back on my food spending by 66%

Playing with cryptocurrency (monopoly money/disney dollars) is an incredibly energy intense process. Extremely wasteful and damaging just to play with some made up money.

Sure if you never plan to leave the house this is fine. The energy for all those ac have to come from somewhere so let’s burn some more CO2, I’m sure that won’t make it worse.
