Don’t on tread me
Don’t on tread me
Would be interesting to see a gui that maximizes the content based on rotation if that were even possible
That’s the MS business model in partnership with PC makers. It’s a juggernaut. They’ve operationalized it.
I’m sure it didn’t go well. If it was somehow framed in a sycophantic way where the police were led to believe it was their idea, I’m sure it would have gone better. Wait that might not be too difficult to do.
Might be about time for testers to start cr4pping their pants tho.
Bravo. Welcome to the world of greater control and flexibility.
I suspect he and Sinema are the tip of the iceberg. There’s a few other corporate ball coddlers in there that were happy to have Manchin and Sinema the the heat that they otherwise might have to take.
I’ve seen some interesting thoughts on TDD with fail, pass, refactor assumptions. I’m curious if anyone here is writing functional code in order to then make a failing functional test pass i.e. BDD / ATDD. This follows similar logic without the refactor assumption. I’ve seen strong opinions on every side as far as this is concerned. On a team with Dev and QA competencies, I’ve heard a number of devs glad to get QA out of the bottleneck and put their knowledge to better use.
The “best people” are the ones that commit crimes and then fall on their sword for you. They’re even bester when they don’t complain about you when you refuse to pay for their legal defense.
What if we applied an enshittification quotient (EQ). Something like this:
The EQ represents the degree or intensity of enshittification at a particular point in the process. Efficiency Erosion (EQ1): This stage’s quotient reflects the initial decline in efficiency, measuring the deviation from an optimal state of wealth distribution and economic functionality. Inconvenience Amplification (EQ2): The second quotient gauges the increased inconveniences experienced by the workforce, highlighting the growing disparity between effort exerted and rewards received. Complexity Cascade (EQ3): The complexity quotient measures the intricate mechanisms contributing to wealth concentration, signaling the level of convolution in the economic system. Frustration Escalation (EQ4): This quotient represents the heightened frustration among workers, reflecting the emotional and psychological toll of perceived economic injustice. Longing for Simplicity (EQ5): The final quotient captures the collective yearning for a simpler and fairer economic system, indicating the depth of societal desire for a more equitable and user-friendly economic structure.
I’m having a decent experience with progressive web apps. Even posting now with a PWA for Lemmy. It’s given me a bit more control over the bloat and background processes that might be there unwitting to me. Or requiring me to investigate . I don’t enable background notifications or anything like that however. I also direct my DNS traffic thru PiHole but that’s another conversation.
Late stage capitalism. Relentless pursuit of higher quarterly profits and earnings that fuel CEO bonuses and shareholder dividends. All at the expense of the people people who actually create the value. Also. That first line ain’t paying for college loans.
Well by another definition they all have the same core religious view. Just as any other religion that perpetuates collective hysteria and war. Humanity is better without any kind of organized dogma. Let’s jettison the stone age thinking.
Then you should support an opt in system for ads I assume. Opt in. Heart’s content. Bob’s your Uncle.
There’s a connection. Focus on that word “appropriate” and you might get it. Words like “appropriate” and “reasonable” are highly subjective and don’t belong in public policy.
It’s pretty common. I ditched Amazon, Instagram and a bunch of other apps for their PWA equivalent. You can find pretty comprehensive lists on the interwebs and it’s growing.
I’ve moved mostly to progressive web apps that truly stop when you close them. For sure they will try to use trackers when they’re running but you can stop that with pihole or NextDNS if you’re on the move with your mobile. You can regain some control if you have the motivation to do so. If you have to install an app, you can still block tracking via these methods and more.
Let’s go back to powdered wigs, knickers and coat tails. I’m sure Mitch McConnel remembers those.
Is there some underlying assertion here that woman enjoy sex less than dudes? Or that sex is some kind of favor to men on the part of women without mutual enjoyment? Not having sex with someone is pretty easy if that other person is a shitty person. Otherwise I think both genders enjoy genuine intimacy and physical contact by someone they enjoy being around.
