Propaganda is not limited to governments, and it never has been.
I seem to remember that given as the official reason, and there were certainly plenty of complaints along those lines. Whether that was a convenient excuse for anti-communist schemes or the actual reason I don’t know. Most likely it was some of both, at least in the case of hexbear.
Calling hexbear a “trans instance” is pretty misleading. They’re explicitly political first and foremost, and happen to have a high concentration of trans/queer users. They were defederated by .world for being overbearing and disruptive, not because of their transness or queerness. Blahaj zone, by comparison, is explicitly a trans instance first and foremost, and is still federated by .world.
She’s essentially a professional model, of course posed studio shots look better than whatever random shit a paparazzi snaps.
What trans instances have they defederated?
All hail the job creators!
Despite Disney’s best efforts I doubt rule 34 has spared Winnie the Pooh, and yet my childhood memories are just fine. I prefer the musical/tv movie version of Peter Pan with Mary Martin, but the Disney adaptation hasn’t spoiled my memory of it.
Have you ever tried ignoring works you don’t like? Just go about your life and mind your own business, it’s actually quite easy.
And this isn’t a one time thing. Not a cure.
Source? Once the target DNA sequence has been edited there shouldn’t be any need for repeated treatment. The clinical study didn’t have repeated treatments, and found over 90% success in completely eliminating SCD-related events. Cure is a bit of a stretch, but it’s pretty damn close based on the data we have so far.
The basic functioning of crispr, including sequences, is public knowledge already. The difficult part is turning that into a functional gene editing system that doesn’t give everyone cancer. A few hundred bucks might get you one semi-functional used centrifuge, it definitely will not provide a whole lab any time in the next several decades. More importantly, it won’t pay the people who know how to develop functional and safe gene editing tech.
We can synthesize DNA and there are even really cool projects that have used it to build complex 3D nanostructures, but idk what you’re talking about with 3 shades and a toner. DNA synthesis and 3D printing are very different, and the former doesn’t use shades or toner.
to be an overtly hatefuly or bigoted person is to ignore the core teachings of christianity
And yet the history of Christianity is filled with hatred, and bloodshed. It’s almost like the “core teachings” are a smoke screen for the accumulation and abuse of power.

Putin or Dick Cheney
Or queer
I wasn’t confused about the point I just think it’s a bad idea that won’t work and ultimately boils down to “you represent poor people, so fuck you.”
