I remember when I first moved here I even called Verizon first. The rep told me, plain and flatout, that comcast, his competitor, was who I had to call, and there was no other provider in my area.

He certainly didn’t help, but I think it would’ve been the worst Economic record in modern U.S. history no matter who you put at the helm.
It’d be like blaming any one person for The Great Depression, it was gonna hit either way by the time it happened, whoever was there could only mitigate it.

The laws aren’t written in any way that facilitates that for obvious reasons. It still requires a lot more effort (and to more directly be a dictator) if the system currently in place does not allow for something without force.
But like it’s just saying the obvious. If the laws in place block it, he would need to hope the next coup actually works.

You can’t make a solution that ignores evil and apathetic exists.
That just leaves us nowhere to go though. We know artists aren’t paid enough, but if our only answer is the one that clearly takes them out of business, then it’s just sitting on a soapbox while another company comes in and does the same thing.
Either the solution has to be feasible or someone will eventually show up to ignore it.
To reemphasize, this is regarding “they have the market because they’re free”, it’s not regarding something else like just paying the artists more, or getting a better deal with labels.

You can’t assume the price point changes and the market remains the same as well. It’s more complicated than that. We literally have talks of people leaving Netflix every other week from the constant changes being made this year.
Because those hormones are also involved with making people want to do those things. Just because you associate them specifically with fight/fuck doesn’t mean thats all they do. “humanity” is heavily tied to those hormones.

As others have said the stock market isn’t representative of the economy. The stock market rose prior to it’s crash signaling the Great Depression.

I don’t get why people think this is an issue. armed Americans are generally shown going against incompetent, untrained police officers. Not the Military who is also just armed better than Americans are legally allowed to be.
Most gun law defenders also tend to overlook this too in fact. If the government wants to make armed citizens stop, they will do it.
