  • I just really don’t know how the mandatory training sessions doesn’t solve the problem for everyone.

People who are ACTUALLY dedicated to raising these dogs will still get them. Those who would end up as shitty owners won’t bother with the hassle.

Dogs get a better owner; owners get a better dog. Win-win all around.

I grew up with Rottweilers, which were the “pitbulls” of the 90s. I have had 2 Dobermans, one sleeping next to me right now, and they were the “pitbulls” of the 80s.

I fail to see how extermination is the answer when we have other methods available.

  • They think that they’re making a clever point. Of course larger dogs are inherently more dangerous than tiny dogs. No one is disputing that.

But to advocate for the complete wiping out of an entire breed versus mandatory training classes for owners is an insane answer.

Make “dangerous breeds” more difficult to get, sure. I agree with that. But I can NOT with the “wipe out all pitbull/rotties/dobermans/GSDs/etc”

  • That’s why I said “nearly half” bruh. We have 50 states in the US and a few territories.

And yes, he didn’t pardon enough people. I will agree with you on that all day. But how many cannabis users did Trump or even Obama pardon from their sentences?

He’s making an attempt despite having a gridlock Congress, and I do commend him for that. That’s why I said “nearly half” bruh. We have 50 states in the US and a few territories.

Edit: I will concede federal minimum wage remaining stagnant at $7.25 does suck though. Biden can’t force one state to raise minimum wage over another. You got me there, that was a state-loving-their-constituents thing, not a Biden thing.

  • Nikki Haley scares the ever loving shit out of me for this reason. Right now she’s saying all the right things about “finding a consensus” on topics like abortion.

Meanwhile while a legislator in S.C., she backed quite a few very strict abortion ban bills. One of them was even a “no exception” policy.

But, right now she “appears moderate” to “moderates”, and the Republican party gets to point at her and be like “Of course we don’t hate women! We voted for one!”

Ugh…her name gives me a nasty feeling in the pit of my stomach.

  • Yeah. Military member with a uterus stationed in TexAss here. We’re tracking how precarious the situation and how much Tuberville and supporters are fucksticks.

I would highly, highly recommend that anyone with a uterus who values their bodily autonomy heavily reconsider joining the military at this point. I’m grateful for the steps that the DoD is taking for us. I’m grateful that the abortion provisions that we do have were protected in the latest military package. However, I’m all too aware of how flimsy it all is for us.

But not just us serving. It’s flimsy for EVERYONE with a uterus. I hope people in blue states realize when they cast their vote that just because they are where they are won’t protect them if Republicans enact a nationwide ban. I hope that they remember/consider the young girls/women in red states who aren’t allowed to have birth control (religious zealotry), or who were raped, or fuck it, they just had sex because that’s what people do, and they don’t have the means to travel away for an abortion. I really, really hope that they’re remembered.

I also hope that they consider that a Republican man will NEVER view a woman as an equal.

  • More than 50% of white women voted for Trump? Do you have a source for this?!

I’m genuinely asking here, because that’s gross as fuck if true. I’m a white woman. I couldn’t imagine voting for that POS, however, my mother is suuuuuuper into the “Bible” so I know she did. My parents are unfortunately super fans of his. I didn’t think that there were that many like her though.

Edit: I was so appalled I looked myself. I did find a bunch of stuff supporting it like truthout andthe guardian, which is absolutely fucking infuriating to me.

I did see that when it came to women with college, more did vote for Clinton than Trump, but it wasn’t enough to outweigh when combined with those who lacked a college education.

FFS. This stat actually massively upsets me.
