In fairness, ALL git terms feel backwards at first.

Either way, waiting 3 months worth of work before a commit is the big mistake here.
Squash ftw. Simpler clearer history.
The problem is that these are “source control basics” that everyone needs to learn the hard way once it seems.
Waiting 3 months in between commits however is a really bad rookie mistake because you were worried about making a commit that wasn’t perfect.
I bought an older model from this company and it’s been spectacular.
I only reboot it when the power dies, unbelievably reliable and quality build
Oh fuck I’d forgotten about that.
I knew I hated Sony, but I’d totally forgotten about that.
The problem with this is that the key would be “machine based” and not “person”
So it’s better for “service accounts”
This looks like the “switch” or “router” end of the cable, so it could be coming from the PC
He should name the charity with which he speaks of, “United way”
The rest are mostly as you describe
Free version doesn’t allow gpu for transcoding.
The aren’t storing it actively in something you can search at all times, but it’ll be in the “backups” and “restore” pieces still
I dislike musk, but this is a stupid decision, given how many subsidies went to shitty providers that did nothing.
I mean I’m assuming that they were given physical access to the trains by the owners, but I goes that isn’t clear, so you may be right…
I really wanna hear the reason they will give for why they had gps coordinates in the train software…
Oh I’m not saying it’s illegal, just that it should be.
It was my understanding that warrants were needed to force the acquisition of information, regardless of the type of information. Even call contents are allowed to be freely given to the police as long as you have legitimate access to it.
So Verizon has the ability to say “no” to the metadata too.
They just choose not to.
They choose to sell it rather than force the police to get a warrant. Perhaps they give it for free, I don’t know, but either way, they’re not forced to without a warrant.
But she didn’t give permission.
Why does Verizon have the authority to give it for her?
This is the question the entire article avoids.
The article is written as if to try and get you to avoid asking it too.
“Why was no warrant required for the data?” “Why are police allowed to just ask for your personal info without a warrant”
What’s the point of warrants if they’re no longer needed? Like, warrants are supposed to be a crucial check on police powers, and here we are rendering them pointless.
I weep for the future.
FIFO.
Torrents will fight to the death for bandwidth, so I’d limit them first.
You look for the cheapest used car that you can.
Leases are really only designed for businesses so that the business can write off value and depreciation early in their balance sheets for tax purposes. Financially they don’t work out great for your average consumer.
Consumers can’t write off those monthly and yearly expenses like a business does.
