I’m a professional Linux user stuck in a company that depends on Microsoft products.
Doesn’t cover email, but is very good for everything else.
Can also edit PDF files, sort of. Doesn’t always format well on conversion from PDF to editable, but still workable in some cases
Aside from the fact that the best drivers are closed source, NVIDIA is killing it on Linux these days.

Talk about double-fisting…

Since when does handbrake not support GPU encoding? I know it usually supports the Nvidia encoding backend for mkv…
Oh, for some reason I read them as LXC containers instead of as docker.
How did you put Immich in a container? I’ve struggled with that the last couple of weeks.

ArchAengelus@lemmy.dbzer0.comto politics @lemmy.world•Gavin Newsom doesn’t want to remove Trump from California ballot5·2 years agoI think that’s why Newsom doesn’t want to do it.
In addition, California GOP primaries, while it has a massive elector count, have almost no bearing on the GOP’s strategies in the presidential race. They haven’t won there in so long that the GOP stopped worrying about what “those lefties” think and focused their strategy entirely on the swing states.
If Pennsylvania and Michigan were to disqualify him from the general election for any reason, and it was upheld in court, his candidacy would be effectively over.
Does that mean the threat of fascism from Trump would be over? I don’t think so. The petty and “I’m rubber, you’re glue” thinking of the MAGATs could bring about a second uprising and increase in domestic terrorism. Or a wild power grab by the Supreme Court which further undermines trust in the institution.

I agree that finding a thing you want to watch is meh at best. Especially because they mix in rentals, purchasable content, and prime content all in the home interface window.
That said, yo ho matey.

Then I heard that they were keeping the hostages in the tunnels. So yes. Yes, it would be.

General “disappearance” of goods from any source is referred to as “shrinkage” or just shrink. It’s fairly easy to look up once you know the name.
Off the top of my head, shrinkage typically ranges from 3-10% of inventory. Feel free to find sources and correct me.
