Unfortunately impeachment is also meaningless. I don’t see a circumstance where 67 senators would ever vote to convict.
The only thing that might work is to be barred from public office and placing the secret service under congressional control to enforce it. But since presidents are untouchable kings now, 2/3rds of Congress and state legislatures are never going to give that up when they could be the king one day themselves.
It’s wild that you’re right given that most of the new EV and battery factories are in red states. Just shooting themselves in the foot as usual.
Maybe a bright side; filling the executive with inept sycophants might slow down project 2025. The reason he struggled to achieve a lot of his bullshit the last time was they didn’t have skilled people to navigate the legal system.
Of course, that legal system also made him a king so…all they have to do is make him say whatever they want to do. But maybe, hopefully, they’ll spend a lot of time fighting amongst themselves.
Joe Biden finalized a 5.2% federal pay raise for many civilian employees for 2024. The highest in over two decades, with the second highest being last year’s.
Reminds me of the time GOP Senator Mark-Wayne Mullin shouted “I don’t want reality!” In a senate hearing
Already forgotten about the infrastructure bill? That also includes a lot of climate action.
The 119th Congress will be seated on January 3rd 2025 and the presidential election certification will be January 6th. So if the Dems win the majority in 2024, they won’t have the power to deny certificatation outright. Though, I’m sure a minority will still object to every swing state like they did in 2020, just to draw it out.
To target something so ubiquitous that everyone has dealt with it and doesn’t like it?
How weird, I’ve never seen that configuration. Today I learned. I just wanted to add that in case anyone read that and thought their living space was unsafe with a combination detector. The EPA says, if they are CO specific, to put them about eye level from the floor, or on the ceiling.
If you’re referring to Carbon Monoxide detectors [I recognize the OP made an error calling them CO2] commonly referred to as “smoke/CO”, then, in the US at least, smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors are usually combined units. I’ve never found one to be separated like that. A common example is below. Carbon Monoxide is similar, if not lighter than common air density, so putting one on the floor wouldn’t make any real difference.
And in comes Google’s ‘DRM for websites’ plan to force you to use a chrome based browser. Sure, the websites still would need to opt in to integrity API, but how many will turn down guaranteed ads and tracking.

This, I have to pay a small extra fee to my utility but in return they must buy 100% of the energy I use from wind. It’s not the most impactful arraignment, but it’s a small way I can encourage my utility to invest in wind.
Some have community solar too that you can “buy” panels and in return the energy they produce is deducted from your bill, minus a fee for them to host and maintain the equipment of course.
“The unborn” are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don’t resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don’t ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don’t need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don’t bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus, but actually dislike people who breathe. Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn.”
-Methodist Pastor David Barnhart
You make a really good point. Dems do tend to take the high road.
Also, I was surprised it was available! I only got it on .world, so you might be able to get it in a different instance.
The Supreme Court has no enforcement arm. That’s why the court loosing it’s credibility is kind of a big deal for Roberts.
As racist as this obviously is, it’s good to see a red state be the test case for ignoring the court. It might give blue states more energy to ignore the next 40 years of authoritarian and climate denial rulings.
+1-I’m doing my part
