I would disagree, your brain does a lot of pattern-matching, solving a jigsaw actually is brain intensive, but it’s using brain skills that we don’t usually associate with thinking, even though it definitely is.

Linux supports most games nowadays. It will never support “all” games. Just like windows doesn’t support all games. At this point in time, saying Linux is not good enough with gaming is weird…
This really looks like shit.
I understand, I don’t know exactly how I would feel if this scenario hapened.
But regardless, I can’t control what people do with the characters I love, even the rightful onwner can defame a character I love, and they sometimes do (I’m thinking of detective pikachu, which I didn’t like, because of exactly what you are talking about).
At the same time, some stories written by non-owner are amazing, and really extended my understanding or appreciation of a character, had they been prevented to write those because of copyright enforcement, I would never have had these great ideas and take on the characters.
Maybe instead of preventing other people from writing stories about preexisting character they didn’t create, we could instead enforce that derivative stories must contain a disclaimer for people that want to avoid non-canon.
Anyway, thank you for taking the time to explain, I’m really interested in how property (intellectual or physical) shape our society, and all point of view is interesting to ear and take into account.
Although I don’t share your point of view, I respect and would like to know more, would you care to elaborate on the reasons that led to or justify your opinion ?
Thank you for the kind message. We are looking into these alternative options, they come with their own set of laws and stuff, we don’t really know yet what we can do.
I’m currently living through my most stessful week of my life: About a year and a half ago, I bought a plot of land with the project of building a home there, inflation and loan rate kicked in, so I thought “alright let’s wait a bit see when it stabilizes”, this week I learned my plot is planned to be removed from the “buildable” area. If I don’t put a building permit to the city council before this is voted my land will basically see it’s value divided by 20 and I won’t be able to build a house there, I put 6 years of savings into this project… all because my gov decided that they didn’t want this area to be urbanised anymore.
I have trouble sleeping and working I can’t think of anything else, I also lost my appetite.
Lol, well done! I can’t tell if you did it on purpose, which makes it funnier for some reasons.
That’s still very fast
You are forgetting the time it takes to copy the data to and from these cards. Data may be transported, but it is not usable until you copy it. Copying 20 TiB is probaply going to take some time
They host and serve the data which cost a lot of money, they are not charging for it they are asking for patronage for those who want to. vip doesn’t get you much apart from the feeling of participating (I’m vip). It’s not different from lemmy, instance hoster ask for patronage to cover the costs, even though the data is produced by users.
Why do people keep upvoting musk news ? This guy is cancer, I’m annoyed by all these post about him, am I the only one ?
I think the poster meant “they never met a woman getting excited about them being a linux users”
Drug users are everyone, alcohol, tobacco, coffee, some are legal, some are still detectable months after use, would you care that your cab driver got drunk last months ? I wouldn’t care.
WTF, we are making videos from text posts now ? It feels so weird… Instead of reading a post in 10s, I get to wait 35s for the video to unfold the text discussion, and youtube gets to puts ads on top of it, what a time to be alive…
Personally, I’d prefer waiting 15s to start the video than watching 15s of ad before atching the video, ads have been proven to have an effect on your brain that’s why they keep showing them to you. It’s not about the delay in video watching, it’s about the ad itself.
It’s nothing to do with GDPR acording to the link of the post (people should read more than headlines…)

Why did you assume “christian theology” ? I can think of many religion that fit the description
Sorry my bad. In my language (french) the word “puzzle” is exclusively used for jigsaw puzzle, for some reason when reading your comment my brain saw jigsaw :-D
