What a Kendall Roy thing to say.
What a Kendall Roy thing to say.
I don’t understand the issue. EV buses have existed for decades. EV buses that run two routes a day and are parked the rest of the time sound like a perfect option for EV. Combustion of any sort results in pollution.
Big propane can eat their own accessories for all I care.
They literally couldn’t pay the devs. Netflix for instance flat out refused to have blackberry pay for 2 full time devs to maintain an app.
Netflix looked at the market share and determined that there was 0 benefit. The people that were on blackberry devices already had a Netflix account.
Additionally Blackberry store apps were compelling for devs. Dev feedback included ease of development and more importantly they made a lot more money on the blackberry store than on iOS/android, both because the cut was better and they could jack the prices up because the customers were not nearly as frugal.
To get into mobile would require a massive overhaul of windows apps to get them mobile-friendly
Oh look, that’s exactly what they did and now we have PWAs for lots of apps. Maybe MS is getting ready to take a stab at mobile again.
It’s possible they are both awful, but individually yes this report is rough to read.
Libraries are not companies, they don’t need to make a profit. They are supported by taxes. The computers they have are old because they work perfectly fine.
They probably don’t pay for licensing, and the cost to maintain non-windows OS would be more due to having to hire people with that skill set.
It would only take a few republicans to give the gavel to the dems and end this shitshow. Why should the dems concede here at all?
It’s probably built with Kevlar or steel, is height adjustable, and includes the electronic displays and equipment. Then maybe they bought two or three of them from a contractor that has security clearance.
Or it’s just a cheap one that had its price jacked up for no reason. Had they not fudged the numbers and included a build list that had redactions on it, it wouldn’t be a big deal.
Why is science trying to make gym-bro mice?
Did you sleep through the search engine wars? Not a single search engine was good. There were sites dedicated to sending your search to all of the search engines at once.
Google showed up and it was game over. Their ad sales took off, and then they came out with gmail with 1gb of free storage and everyone went nuts for it since trying to stay under 15mb for your local isp was a pain in the ass.
Google disrupted very hard and continued to do so in many ways for a long time.
The hate for Edge here is excessive.
In the US if you want to leave your job, you won’t get unemployment. If you’re laid off you can.
I agree with you that it’s wrong, but that’s how it currently works in the US.
No one was talking about getting or being fired. The boss wants them to work with the compensation they were offering.
The workers decided they wanted different compensation.
The workers are free to all stop working at once, but just like if you decide to quit, you’re normally not allowed to collect unemployment.
Again, I’m for this. I think everyone that is working should have the minimum needed to survive at the very least, and it’s abhorrent that we don’t have that.
Small iterative improvements vs big “innovation” failures?
Unemployment is not for when people decide to leave a job. It’s for when your employer lays you off. Going on strike is much different than being laid off.
Going on strike is voluntary.
In one hand, voluntary unemployment funded by taxes seems unfair.
On the other, fuck the man. The wealth imbalance needs to be fixed and this is a step in the correct direction.
You can take my almonds and my beef, but not avocados. That’s the line.
I’m ok with YouTube. I pay for a large music service and get no YouTube ads.
Every other service has only made things worse. Netflix has done the least by not yet pushing ads.
