For those without Telegram:
Dear readers,
Since most of our team is from post-Soviet states, we would like to honor the creator of the Flibusta project, Stiver. Flibusta is a free online library that provides access to Russian-language literature, allowing free exchange of literature among users.
On October 22, 2024, after a month of being treated for glioblastoma, which was unfortunately not curable, Stiver passed away through euthanasia.
Today we would like to honor the memory of Stiver, who shared the same goal of providing free access to knowledge. Same as Flibusta, Z-Library was created in 2009 with the mission of giving everyone the opportunity to read and learn, regardless of their financial status. This man was able to bring his idea to life and create a place where the words and thoughts captured in books could circulate freely.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of a man who has been a true asset to the book world. His efforts have made knowledge available to all, helping countless people broaden their horizons and discover new worlds of inspiration.
His memory will live on in our hearts as a symbol of the endless possibilities of the written word, a world that is truly open to all. We must continue his work of spreading knowledge and culture, and may his good deeds inspire us all.
Rest in peace, Stiver. Your contribution to making the world a better place through access to knowledge is immeasurable!
To me, all of these cases seem ridiculous. Trump is simply ineligible to hold office — full stop. The fourteenth clearly spells out the remedy, which does not include litigating in court. It states:
But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
So there it is — the amendment should be decided by Congress. Not the courts. Not the voters.
Also, who cares if he ends up on a ballot? States would have a responsibility to invalidate his electors (should he win any) who would be engaging in violation of the fourteenth by voting for an insurrectionist and therefore they too are ineligible to hold office. In my opinion, the whole exercise is a waste of time designed to protect someone not worth pissing on if he were on fire.
Amendment VI: In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.
I think it was in that thing the orange ape man continually wipes his ass with…I think it’s called the Constitution?
Steal them Teslas!
…and three posts up Tesla is threatening to sue customers who want to resell their car. WTF, America?

There’s always a retired plumber or two working in the plumbing section. Maybe not other sections, but definitely plumbing. Good luck out there, DIYers!
But that speaks to his eligibility. Sure he can run, but he is not eligible to hold office. None of these traitors should hold office, but let’s go for the head first.
The fourteenth amendment is clear as day and I don’t understand why it’s even a court decision. Nowhere does it say the amendment should be decided by the court. The remedy is up to two-thirds of the Congress. Plain and simple.
hold any office, civil or military
Doesn’t seem vague to me, at all.
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
I’m confused at the plain language of the 14th amendment, section 3 versus your understanding of the same. They don’t seem to match.
This is a simple case, which should not involve the courts at all. Trump is simply ineligible to hold office. Period. (FYI: Half of the Congress members are in the same boat.) However, (the legitimate) Congress members could save his bacon by voting (with two-thirds of the vote) to remove the restriction. Again, really simple language and really simple remedy, if the government would simply do their jobs and read the dang thing.
Hope he gets a stiffer sentence than these Jan 6 traitors.
If God wants it so bad, why doesn’t he handle it his goddamn self?
True, true. Building their own gallows.
Agreed. There is always a subset of customers in which a business loses money. The corporations today have grown soft and cannot stomach a loss. It’s time we stop catering to weak companies and start catering to those who understand the risks associated with owning a business.
“First, you grab the pussies. Then, you grab the democracy. Then, you grab the power.” - Trump (probably)
No, Okta; senior management caused you to get hacked, not an errant employee.
Typical right-winger. No capacity to understand anything that fails to conform to your twisted world view.
Just a friendly reminder that the media exists to sell a product, not to report on the truth.
