I’ve never seen that stereotype. I’m not so sure it is one.

I wear my PineTime everyday. Best watch I’ve ever purchased. It doesn’t have too many bells and whistles but it tells me the time.
I haven’t even thought about getting McDonald’s ice cream in years just because it seems like they are never able to serve it so I’m not even going to try. When I want ice cream I’ll go to the place that make ice cream on a cold slab.
Yeah, I was playing the Guardians of the Galaxy game on Linux Mint the other day. It blows my mind what Proton can do.
I didn’t have Netflix before the crackdown and I don’t have it ever. Basically a net positive of 0.
Open source physical keyboards do exist though
This was a one off that hasn’t been updated in almost a year. I doubt it’s getting any more updates.
I agree Florisboard is unusable as a daily driver
I ditched Windows for a Linux Mint just over a month ago. Best decision.
I was so confused about why both WD and SanDisk were mentioned but I know they are just the same company now?
Too many people don’t know what it actually means.
The easiest solution is to buy wired clippers for $35 and be done with it.
I remember I had a few of these. If I recall correctly there was also a blue Kububtu one.
I think its 90% of users lurk, 9% comment, and only 1% create new posts. Or at least something like that
I’m sure some of them have
I honestly couldn’t tell you. Its been so long since I purchased LEDs and the ones I bought were from the company I work for. They have worked well for me but I don’t know if any brand is better than another.
Yes. Many of the people that objected also wore MAGA hats. I think the whole idea was that it was better for the environment and you know what that means.
The 3 biggest issues CFLs had were their warm up time, especially in cold weather, the flicker some people are sensitive too, and they contain murcury as all florescent bulbs do. That means it is absolutely necessary to properly dispose of them so mercury doesn’t get into the ground water.
I’ve been in the industry for over a decade and I find it fascinating how much lighting has changed in that time. When LEDs were first available, they were $60+ per bulb. Now you can get multipacks for under $10. Also, CFL bulbs were almost universally hated by everyone (and for good reason) now we no longer sell them. We strictly sell LEDs for regular lighting and we still sell incandescent specialty bulbs. Also, when LEDs first arrived there was a lot of distain for them, especially by the elderly. They wanted their energy wasting incandescent bulbs dammit! It seems the majority of them have come around because they’ve learned that LEDs are better.
I might have to get one of those if my watch ever stops working
