Do you need it though? 3 years isn’t that long for a phone. 3 months ago I replaced my Samsung Galaxy S5 from 2014 for Fairphone 4, which I will keep to 2032+

If my government gave me around 1500 euros per month per child until they have stable job, so probably around 25 years old, adjusted for inflation of course. Then I would consider having a child.
Just a reminder that he is a rapist and a pedophile.
I have zero Google services on my phone only microG. Does police still have access to my push notifications if they ask for it?
I mean, I will try it. First in a virtual machine and if I like it well enough on a laptop too. But I don’t know, I used Fedora Silverblue and Kinoite before and my experience wasn’t satisfactory.
I know where you are coming from but I don’t think it’s that important especially not for me, Iam gaming right now on Linux Mint without a problem. And wasn’t steamdeck/steamos the first one who supported HDR?
Bazzite looks interesting, I might check it out. But I would still rather use SteamOS when it comes out. I like stable more, than up to date. And bazzite has so much stuffed into it and I wouldn’t use 90% of those features.
Cosmic
Budgie 11 (idk if 2024)
VanillaOS 2
SteamOS 3 for desktop (idk when, they are probably waiting until the new open source nvidia driver is mature enough. Maybe they are waiting on wine running without xwayland too… idk
From their Google play store page: “Olvid is the first private instant messaging application for everyone.”
I knew it. Global warming is fake. /s
Imagine if you could study in your sleep… Or “watch” a book and be acually there… Hmm that wouldn’t really work for innner dialogue of other characters…
Is this new? Streamers and youtubers have been using David Attenborough ai voice for months. I doubt any of them are authorized.
I didn’t know that, good to know. Thx
As far as I know most inbuilt adblockers, don’t work very well. Especially with yt. Everytime yt does something, you would probably have to wait for new version of your browser, and even then it is questionable if it would work. With ublock origin you just click on one button and you are good to go. If somebody doesn’t know, I’m talking about refreshing your filters.
I use element, but for communication with family and friends I use signal. Element app is not as simple, it is a little clunky/buggy and slow. It is not ready for “normal” people.
As far as I know, this version doesn’t have push notifications for microG or google, so it will drain your battery a lot faster because it’s always on. People should just download the Google play version with Aurora Store.
Thanks. Of course I use Firefox. Without uBlock Origin I wouldn’t be able to survive Internet.
Will we finally get properly working system tray? Man can dream…
Very soon is less than a month in my book. As far as I know they still don’t have beta, they only had alphas, so…
I had android 13 on S5, I wont say it was smooth, but it was more than usable. I replaced it mostly because 2GB off RAM was starting to get on my nerves. I couldn’t have more than 2 apps open without it putting to sleep the previous one. Multitasking was not very good on such a old phone.
I cant imagine what could be wrong on 3 year old phone. If it is not broken just install LineageOS on it and you should be good to go.
