Hamas has billions in assets and international ties. Israel has murdered thousands without food and water but lets not pretend Hamas, who Israel is supposed to be targeting with this aid, is some helpless underdog. The money should go to Ukraine but let’s not exaggerate.

edit: Disappointed that people would rather downvote than engage and think critically. Hamas’s leaders are billionaires who hoard resources, keeping them from the people of Gaza. Hamas is a threat to both the people of Gaza and to international peace. Israel’s horrific crimes don’t make that fact magically go away.

The actions of the IDF and the state don’t justify mass murder of civilians. All that accomplishes is poking the bear. Israel is oppressive against the people of Palestine but by no means do two wrongs make a right.

The Hamas charter literally states that their goals are only attainable through jihad. The motivation is not “material desperation” but Israel’s destruction. Israel’s actions have helped radicalize people toward Hamas but Hamas goals are expressly not self defense.

Shooting rockets indiscriminately is definitely an avoidable action. They don’t have to do it. Unfortunately people do need to defend themselves from Israel but the rockets are just to inflict suffering.

Hamas doesn’t want to be part of Israeli society. These are not two groups that can co-exist peacefully.

e: for relevance, I don’t like google analytics and in its current state I consider apple a lesser of two evils (marked up hardware vs advertising company). I don’t want to spend time configuring an android phone to my tolerance levels when I can just use the same tech I’ve been using for years with hardly any issue.
