Didn’t the Michigan Supreme Court already rule on this? I remember the Secretary of State saying she didn’t want to make that decision and was glad the court ruled as quickly as they did.

Well, I will concede. I was certain I read a NHTSA interpretation denying this purpose, but the definition in FMVSS specifically states the purpose to “illuminate the road to the rear”.

But, there’s nothing in the regulation specifying how this is supposed to work (except the brightness of the lamp), and there’s no maximum height for the mounting location like the other lamps.

They’re not supposed to be rear-facing headlights. You don’t even have to have 2 of them (1 is acceptable as long as it’s visible enough). And unlike every other light, there’s no restriction on where it goes. It’s almost like it was an afterthought when they were writing the regulations.

This would not be illegal in the US, except some states forbid blue lights because they’re reserved for law enforcement. I haven’t seen any state regulation that rigorously defines “blue” like the NHTSA references to CIE 1931.

They would also have to be distinct enough to not cause confusion with the existing lights.

Bottles of Guinness used to have a little plastic “widget” with a nitrogen charge in them. When you opened the bottle the drop in pressure would cause the nitrogen to release and foam up the beer. But the size of the widget meant they could only get 11.2 oz of cold, refreshing stout in the bottle.

Then they removed the widget. I’m not sure if they did anything special to replace the foaming head, but they sure didn’t replace the widget with 0.8 oz of beer.

I use Authenticator Pro on my watch so I don’t have to deal with getting my phone out when I just need a code.

Changing the default format is really all I dislike about Keepass. Can I tie a custom format to a folder for credit cards that allows quick access to the CC number? That would be worth switching.

I’m still using vanilla Keepass/KeepassDroid. Are there any advantages to switching to XC and DX?

I’ve tried them in the past, but for some reason I keep going back to vanilla.
