Don’t tell me how to read!
I found my home server is sooooo much faster and more reliable than my streaming services. I usually forget I can watch in a legit way. No ads to skip, stupid popups when you pause, or buffering issues. I ❤️ Local Files!

Sounds like a project for you, unless you don’t want to work?
just got my multi season science fiction show downloaded via the salty seas. apparantly it would cost $50-85 to download or stream from the “legit” vendor. A vendor that bought the rights and closed the ability to access previous seasons. So, not going well for the loyal customers.

That better?
I just assumed they were for machine milk. I bet one is chocolate. Think about it.
yes, my roku has less issues. the atv version seems to be pretty bare bones, which is why I use plex as well. and for whatever reason plex works better on atv than roku ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I got an apple tv 4K and factory reset my tv. never updated the tv or allowed it online after that. i use the plex app and jellyfin for local network files. it also has VLC from the app store for free. apple isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but they don’t embed ads in the app interface. also, the ATV has a huge mute button, one of my favorite features.
as far as disabling the android crap, I went through every single menu setting and turned off all of the nagging “features” like auto update, bravia notifications, sign in, anythin android, etc. it acts almost entirely like a dumb tv in that way now. very relieved after spending $$$ on a TV and fearing the forced ads. good luck, hope this helps.

Not a fan of Tesla or the lack of infrastructure the fire departments have on fighting lithium fires (might need to mandate manufacturers fund that tech, resources, and training?) To give an idea of the amount of water that is. An average residential pool 32 x 16 ft (3ft shallow/8ft deep) is 20,000 gallons. So 1.8 pools of water to put it out. I’m not sure what an average gas powered sedan takes to put out when it goes up, but I know water is also not the best choice. I think this just furthers the argument for cheap/free public transportation rather than everyone driving their defacto second living room around.
