You can’t even set a timer with Gemini without enabling Gemini app activity (you used to be able to before, but that changed many months ago). This means it can’t even replicate the basic functionality of assistant out of the box, without agreeing to give Google even more rights to your data, in no way would I consider it a replacement unless it’s able to fulfil the basic functionality of assistant with the same permissions.
Readeck also has a KOReader integration via OPDS catalogue
From what I’ve seen recently one of the things it did was use a fake email function they gave it to try to whistleblow to a government agency about issues with some medical testing or something
I mean the original anti-piracy ad said you wouldn’t steal a car, because they were trying to equate digital piracy with physical theft, it’s the meme edits that say you wouldn’t download a car
Something like almost half of generic medications are made in India.
Is this for cancer drugs or generics in general? Only asking because most of the generics I see in the UK are made here, but that might be because I’ve only seen the more common medications and not stuff like cancer drugs.
Hope you manage to beat the cancer!
For security disable password authentication - use public key instead, disable root login via ssh - use sudo or su from another user.
To reduce the number of attempts of others trying to get in change the ssh port and/or set-up fail2ban.
You could also set a firewall rule to only allow ssh from your IP address, if you have a static address at home and only need access from there, or have a way to VPN into your home network. Make sure you have a static address if you do this though, you don’t want your IP to change and be left locked out of your server.
Yeah, it would be insane not to buy a Tesla self-driving taxi, they pay for themselves
The “correcthorse” part
You could use rclone with any service it supports as encrypted cloud storage by using its crypt feature. More technical to set up though than just installing an app.
Nowadays I see them mostly used by creators for sponsor or product links, probably because it lets them track how many people click on it and when
The basic steps are:
I’m not going to write a full tutorial so if it sounds interesting I suggest you do more research. The email hosting is typically focused at businesses as they are most likely to be wanting to host email on a custom domain.
Arch is good for tinkering with to make it your own, but can sometimes require tinkering to do things other distros can do straight away, e.g. adding udev rules to use certain devices or setting up zeroconf to be able to discover printers on the network automatically
If you want to be able to roll back changes easily you could set up your root and home partitions as btrfs subvolumes and use snapper to take snapshots, which can be combined with pacman hooks to automatically take snapshots when updating/installing software and can even be set up to allow booting into the snapshots which could be useful if you break your system
Currys
*Curries unless you’re talking about the electronics retailer
those Indian takeaways… tandori?
If you’re just referring to the restaurants, I’d just call one of those restaurants an Indian (as in the cuisine) or maybe a curry house. Tandoori, Balti, etc. all relate to styles of cooking and may be used in restaurant names, but if I was referring to restaurants that serve Indian style curries in general, I would just call it an Indian.
Yeah, I think this is likely what happened, will be interesting to see what the investigation finds. I’m surprised there isn’t any sort of backup power for the voice recorder, it’s there to help investigate incidents, those 4 minutes would have contained a lot of vital insight into what was going on.
Runways can be used from either direction, usually they try to land with a headwind if there is significant wind I think. I think the localizer antenna can be at both ends of the runway if both directions have ILS approaches, but I’m not an expert. The concrete mound for the antenna is getting a lot of focus because it made a runway excursion so much worse.
It seems to me like they may have decided to make the landing then due to losing altitude and thinking they wouldn’t be able to climb again, but hopefully the investigation can figure out what probably happened.
Fair enough, I agree the situation is mildly infuriating, whatever the reason you wanted it. A lot of restaurant/pub chains over here will throw out extra food if they prepped too much, rather than letting staff take it, probably because they don’t want people creating waste on purpose but also don’t want to spend the minimal effort required to stop people abusing the system if they allowed people to take excess food home. The distrust of low paid workers leads to most stores being unable to deal with special requests unless you are speaking to the manager and I don’t know where I’m going with this…
If it’s so much effort to try and get fat trimmings from butchers, why not just buy a block of lard from the supermarket?
It’s available in the Izzy on droid repo, you’ll have to add the repo to the f-droid app with the following URL:

To add RTX 30XX series doesn’t support AV1 encode, only decode, so any AV1 encoding would have to be done on the CPU (better to use h.264 or HEVC for hardware encode in OBS)
