Classic youdontsurf material
I’ve found that when using deodorants with aluminum, my body basically builds up a tolerance to them and compensates by sweating more. The more I would apply, the more my pits would sweat. I’ve switched to deodorants with magnesium instead and that has helped me a lot!
Better Off Ted. Very funny show about a giant company doing ridiculous things
Honestly I wouldn’t even be surprised if Procter and Gamble did that shit lol
Why would anyone care what the ISPs think about how much work they have to do? We’re paying for it, so in what world is it not misleading to withhold information about charges?
It’s so cringe and ridiculous how they implement these obnoxiously biased changes and then immediately walk them back when they’re called out for it. Just trying to figure out how much they can get away with
Agree. It’s pretty annoying scrolling through the tech communities and seeing the same article about him posted 5 different times lol
It’s like we’re flying towards a brick wall, and corporations and republicans want to put their foot on the gas, because the faster we go the more money they make… until impact of course
I switched to ice cubes from mammoth because of the lack of a trending tab
I can get mine to last 5-6 days depending on usage. The GPS function obviously drains it faster so if I’m going on bike rides multiple days in a row it’ll be about 4 days tops, but if I do stationary bike and weight lifting it’ll get 5 days easy, even going on GPS walks it usually doesn’t drain as bad as the bike tracking.
Also worth noting I don’t have any phone notifications on my watch because I just don’t need another device getting my attention. So I think that helps to extend my battery life.
Additionally, I disabled the Pulse Ox sensor by default as that thing drains juice so fast. My girlfriend had hers on 24/7 and was getting like maybe 2 days out of a full charge.
I have a vivoactive 4s and it’s got all the features I want in a smartwatch while also being discreet and small. It doesn’t feel any different on my wrist than an analog watch and that’s what I love most
Just finished a book about the Lusitania sinking in WW1, this situation (very vaguely) reminds me of that, given that Germany was publicly threatening to sink vessels headed to Britain under the assumption they could be transporting supplies. They went so far as to take an ad out in the paper warning the ship not to sail, as it would be a target.
Would highly recommend it by the way, it was called Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of The Lusitania and it was meticulously researched and very well written. There is a lot more to the story than what I said here and is well worth the read.
Yeah this guy is a Yale/Harvard grad. He’s not stupid, but he knows what stupid people will believe and he knows how to say it convincingly
You’re a brave man
Were you at haunted house last night?
Unfortunately the article states a yearly treatment cost would be about $90K with all expenses factored in. Patients with Medicare will likely not be able to get coverage for this, and Medicaid will still require a copay of 20%.
Like every other industry, pharmaceutical companies are profit driven and will maximize their revenue whenever possible, especially when they know the patient population is desperate.
A big example of this was when Pfizer discontinued their research program to cure heart disease, since it is more profitable to charge patients for statins for the rest of their life than it is to cure them.
Ah I see, sorry for misreading. I believe that there is currently no way to block an instance but I’ve seen people requesting this feature a lot, along with people saying it will be added in the future. Unfortunately I think it’s a waiting game right now
