The NHS website is fantastic. It’s one of the best resources for getting good quality medical advice (if your not a medical professional). It ties symptoms to causes very well and provides information on the appropriate service you need if you have certain symptoms.
It’s not a substitute for doctors. It a means to get people to go to the correct service depending on their immediate need. I have used it to get family members to go to a doctor where they otherwise wouldn’t. It can help you be informed of any issues you are having, so you can see the possible treatment options. It tells you when a pharmacist can solve the issue rather than take time off work to go to a doctor’s appointment. It also tells you when to call 999 rather than wait for a GPs appointment.
I suspect your not actually reading through the articles or have some comprehension issue. It’s a fantastic tool, that is extremely useful. It’s particularly useful because it’s created by informed humans, not AI. It’s also one of the few medical resources that is trying to sell stuff to you.
Yes. But the waste is likely to still produce methane that has a bigger climate warming effect that the equivalent co2 of burned but for a shorter period. The general consensus suggests it’s better to burn methane than release it into the environment.
The better solution is to fly less, or wait till flying truly green. The big issue is the incredible amount of subsidy we allow for airlines. Tax or fuel for aircraft is very low. If we cut these subsidies and starting taxing aircraft fuel at similar rates to cars electric/hydrogen aircraft would come about much sooner.
The have more features than the average plug.
They were initially designed to be installed by the user (initially devices were sold without plugs). So you could unscrew and rewire them easily.
They also have fuses inside them that are user replaceable. This allowed the UK to use wiring systems in the wall that use less cooper - saving money. It also makes the devices safer. Each device has its own fuse adding redundancy and allowing for smaller fuses for lower powered devices.
The size is the price we pay for safety and repairability.
WiFi already manages this. Systems set up like eduroam have a student sign in to their university WiFi one time and have access to WiFi across their campus and all other universities that support eduroam.
There are also commercial options. ISPs offer a similar service where you enable your home router to broadcast a ISP connection point alongside your normal WiFi access point. This enables you to join any other ISP connection point where ever you go.
The issue with this is control. You would have to give up control of your access point to the centralised system. So your internet access may be limited by other people using your line.
I imagine many already exist. But the system should be designed to fail safe with WiFi in mind.

In the UK all devices need the ground pin on the plug. Even if a ground isn’t required on the device. Sometimes they are plastic. UK plugs use the longer ground pin as a key that opens the ports to the live and neutral wires. This makes it difficult for children to insert metal things into the live port.

The already have the best x86 emulator. They also have a lot of leverage over big game manufacturers. Especially ones that have iPhone apps. They are able to use carrot and stick to get Devs to develop for MacOs. I don’t think they will, they just don’t want to say they don’t care about gaming.
Your off the mark on this one. India (it’s government at least) is more aligned with Russia ideologically. They want to be the powerful bully and they want to oppress minorities. The west has movements similar to this, but they aren’t so entrenched and the path against them is much clearer.
India isn’t aligned with the West. They also don’t want to align with the West. Any current cooperation is much like the west being allies with the Soviet Union during world war 2. It’s based on immediate convenience. Largely against china. Despite this India is actively hostile against the west in numerous ways, most recently political assignations in Canada and attempts in USA.
I think this confusion arises because India’s recent history is tied to Britain. So we associate India with western alignment. However, being colonised is going to create resentment and mistrust with the colonisers and their associates.
Gaming is already a solved issue. Any console manufacturer managed to get games developed regardless of processor instruction set. All it takes is investment and a market.
Xbox and PlayStation are currently x86, but they’ve used different processors in the past. But Nintendo manages uses arm and gets great price/performance. For the PC market Valve could use it’s marketplace to make arm and Linux work for gaming. They’ve made good progress but they could be more aggressive. If they lowered their rates for Linux and/or arm support the gaming industry would move. They could also use the stick as well as the carrot. If they refused to list new games that don’t support Linux and arm the industry would move even faster.
I don’t think gamers will move the market much either way. Apple is the biggest computer manufacturer in the world and their users don’t buy their products for PC gaming. I imagine the rest of the market is similar. People are buying PCs for productive web browsing and office apps. If arm Windows and Linux machines can get half the battery performance macbooks get, they slowly displace x86 in the market for new machines. But half the problem is software optimisation for battery life. Intel macbooks got better battery life, as long as you were using safari rather than a chromium browser.

Genetically modified generally refers to direct modifications to genes done in a lab. As opposed to selective breeding.
Organic often refers to the use of fertiliser and pesticides. So produce that is grown with compost rather than synthetic fertiliser and synthetic pesticides.
It’s completely feasible to produce organic watermelons and solely consume organic watermelons. It only refers to how the fruit was grown. Not the variety.
There are GMOs that are created in a lab. Commercial varieties breed mainly for shelf life and volume. Then there is heirloom variety’s, older varieties generally breed prior to over commercialisation of farming that has made food more bland and bigger. All of these can be grown organically.
In fact it’s very easy for the only watermelon you eat to be organic. Especially if you grow them yourself, as many gardeners use organic methods exclusively.
That did and in some places does still matter. Homes moving away from heating with coal to natural gas reduces smog. Thus it is seen as clean energy. Because everything is cleaner in the true sense of the word clean. Green is often a better predictor.

War crimes are mutually agreed by close to parity powers. Crowd control isn’t. One group decides what is acceptable and what isn’t. I would be surprised if any government allow citizens the right to use CS gas on their police force.
They aren’t going to reevaluate crowd control tactics because the crowd don’t have the power to force a change.
