Genuine question, not meant to be an insult:
If most of your trips are within 5 miles, why would you drive? It seems excessive when you could just walk, or cycle, etc.

That’s for sure. Especially in places like North America, where the “missing middle” is very prevalent.
I hope you find a place your happy in!
I was very intimidated as well, I’ll try to simplify it, but as always check the documentation ;)
This is the process I used to sync between my Windows PC and Android phone to sync retroarch saves (works well, would recommend, Pokemon is awesome) I’ve never done it on a Linux, though i assume it’s not too different
https://docs.syncthing.net/intro/getting-started.html
I downloaded the Synctrazor program so that it would run in the tray, again I’m not sure what the equivalent/if this would be necessary on Linux.
No shade to the writers, but the documentation isn’t super noob friendly, as I figured out. I’d recommend trying to cut out all the fluff, and boil it down to bare essentials. Download the program (whichever one seems right for your device, there’s an app for Android) and follow the process for syncing stuff (I believe I used a video guide, but it’s not actually as complicated as it seems)
If you need specific help I’d be happy to answer questions, though I only understand a certain amount myself XD
As much as I hate EA and everything they stand for, their customer support has pulled through for me on more than one occasion. Props to them
one of the things I deeply miss is sleeping under the stars
I took this to mean, that you deeply missed it.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I don’t know where you live, but this is very much still doable now. It all depends on your location. If you’d actually like to live somewhere like that, try looking for towns with 10k or less people. It might take a while, but eventually you’ll find one you like
Makes sense. Thanks!
Genuine question: What’s this have to do with open source?
It’s getting easier and easier to use free alternatives to Adobe products.
I use Bluetooth headphones every day, for most of the day. Despite that, there are times where i forget to charge them the night before, or something else goes wrong, and I use wired headphones.
If I got a phone without a headphone jack, I don’t think it’d be much of a problem, until it is. I’d need it, and suddenly realized I don’t have it.
There were still some okay shows on animal planet, last time I checked, when I stopped at a hotel and turned on a TV. They had a treehouse building one that was cool… Don’t know why it was on animal planet, but still
Having used it a bit more, I can definitely agree on the lag. Crazy bad.
Odd, I was pretty happy when I got the update. I always thought it was odd that servers and PMs were mixed somewhat in the UI, and hard to distinguish between.
People just don’t like things being different than they were ig.
Or is there another change I didn’t notice that had people bothered?
Anyone who tried it a year ago, this comment is to tell you that Firefox has improved by orders of magnitude in the past year/years. I recommend trying it again.
As someone who lives in metro Atlanta: shit goes down. Would not recommend, 3/10, although chicken and waffles are delicious
After asking a friend who’s into this stuff about Plex, they said they tried it and it’s not worth the trouble of setting up. Thought anyone?
How tf had I never heard of plex before
Crazy
Well, to be fair, I’ve had people get annoyed with me for saying Merry Christmas in the past (I’m not particularly religious, but I was raised to say it and it’s a habit to break)
It’s all subjective. Just because you haven’t had something said to you, or even haven’t seen or heard of someone saying it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.
I’m surprised no one had mentioned this yet
It’s because there’s an annoying trend of everyone reading the headline and not the article. Drives me bonkers
It’s surprisingly hard (at least for me, perhaps I’m looking wrong :p) to find general comparisons comparing the brands for overall usefulness. You’ll find stuff comparing their drills, or something specific, but not everything overall. Which seems much more important, as (as has been mentioned in these comments) the batteries really lock you into one brand.
