Not all apps respect this and still use its own special in-app browser
Hello there.
I’m busy with my academics now, so I may not post or comment. I’ll still be keeping an eye on my communities though.
Not all apps respect this and still use its own special in-app browser
I’m not sure about the downloading part but Playnite with extensions does an amazing job of organisation.
Intelligent programming that makes the user’s experience worse
Holy shit
This is not mildly infuriating, this is extremely infuriating
Nougat had the best easter egg imo
It’s not from a specific place. It was an old GIF I knew and I searched for it. You could search “[something] perfect loop gif” or similar in a search engine.
You can also just download any GIF and convert it into WebP using an online converter like this. Then you can set that converted WebP as your profile picture.
Well, I use ReVanced so I won’t have to pay a penny and still have all the features from the official app
I heard it was released for Windows, how well does it work? I might ditch the Samsung Link to Windows app then
I’ve used it before, it doesn’t work at all even on multiple devices. But hey, that’s just me. Maybe the app has improved now.
It’s the same mentality as people just pressing “Next” in an installer and wonder why their browser homepage is hijacked or why there are programs that they never installed. People see the “Block” or “Accept” options in the notifications dialog and press Accept without even reading, especially on mobile browsers (Chrome) where it asks you as if it’s a system message.
They exist so that your granny or mom won’t fall (or atleast be warned) for stupid scams that want you to install an “official bank app” or something to steal everything. Same deal with Play Protect. Yes, they suck for power users but atleast normies or the elderly will be warned or protected. You can still bypass them, they still give you the control. That’s better than what Apple does.

They’re not isolated. They are also part of the Fediverse. I regularly see many people posting and commenting from Kbin on Lemmy instances.
Kbin is completely different from Lemmy, in that it is not Lemmy. It’s like a mix of Mastodon and Lemmy.
Well, kiwibrowser/src isn’t updated because kiwibrowser/src.next is the actual up-to-date Kiwi Browser. Kiwi Next is similar to a beta version, and releases for Kiwi Browser are based on Kiwi Next. You can just compile Kiwi Next if you are paranoid. It’s the best Android Chromium browser.
The whole search engine debacle was unnecessary, and that basically killed Kiwi’s reputation even though it really had zero impact on anyone or anything. I mean, if the default search engine is something you don’t prefer, it’s just a few goddamn presses to change it to whatever you want.
It would be good in theory, but it’s a really bad idea because if that Gmail address is associated to some other sites, then the new owner can basically take control of all the sites the Gmail address was used in.
A Samsung Galaxy A50, it’s my beloved treasure! It was my first phone that I bought with part of my own saved money.
It’s pretty usable, to this day. It runs Android 11 but only recently got axed for security updates, so I may get a new phone soon. There’s really nothing not to love about it.
The battery has deteriorated though, I can barely get 4-5 hours SOT without using 80-90% of the battery. Also, the adhesive that holds the back plastic panel to the phone keeps coming apart so it doesn’t hold anymore, which is kinda nasty. I’ve re-applied back panel adhesive two times but it keeps happening, presumably due to heat. Never seen this happen to any phone other than the A50.
