I think he’s alluding to the fact that Mojang is a Swedish studio. And of course Persson (Notch) is also Swedish.

It’s a pretty good weapon when exterminating fungus.
Proton or Valve won’t magically make anti-cheat working on Linux. I do most of my gaming now on Linux, but for specific games I still boot into Windows.
As someone who recently did a switch to get used to Linux, if you’re planning on gaming then Nobara is supposedly the beginner friendly gaming distro. I switched to Nobara and my only issue was screen flickering that I fixed by switching from Wayland to X11 (that was as simple a choosing the other option on the login screen). Everything else just works and KDE looks similar to the windows layout so it doesn’t feel too unintuitive either.
My two gripes that I can’t do anything about are the lack of HDR support (supposedly that’s finally in the works) and no Linux support for some online games (The Finals in my case, but maybe if Linux numbers go up they’ll finally flip the switch), neither could be solved by having a different distro.
If you just want to game and want it up and running without tinkering too much I recommend Nobara.
Alright, let’s compromise. You say sorry for comparing people to flatearthers and calling them brainwashed and I’ll sorry for treating you like a douche.

He might as well reach Mars. It’s a one way trip.
If you have proof then post it. Don’t be a fucking asshole and waste everyone’s time by regurgitating the same “Do your own research” flat earther argument. In case it’s not clear, the burden of proof is on the one making the statement. You said there’s proof, show the proof.
Otherwise I could say “A study found that @idiocracy@lemmy.zip is a moron”. Now there’s proof you’re a moron. If you want that proof go find it yourself. And don’t even think about blaming me for whatever reason.
You don’t like electric cars because of a thing that is also in modern ICE cars, and the difference is that it’s a thing you don’t understand so you believe it’s worse on electric cars?
These changes tend to be global because it’s cheaper to make the change for everyone than have two different designs and manufacturing (one for EU and other for the rest of the world). And more often than not EU is too big of a market to ignore.

You’ve clearly already checked out considering I’m not even the person who insulted you. Here’s an idea, maybe don’t partake in conversations you’re not going to bother to even pay attention. I guarantee you’ll automatically come across as less of an asshole.
Sure. The other guy is also an ass for bringing up an unrelated topic, and if you had originally said what you just said we wouldn’t be having this discussion. But you chose to continue that unrelated discussion in a way that I’ve taken as defense of IDF actions. So maybe address what I said instead of deflecting.
You can’t compare the actual numbers but you can compare the actions sides take to prevent casualties. Your comment came across as “there’s nothing IDF could do to reduce casualties” when the reality is that they could and they just don’t.
It’s not about having few civilian casualties, it’s about having fewER casualties. Gaza is extremely densely populated and civilian casualties are pretty much unavoidable, but it doesn’t mean you have to level entire city blocks or bomb the exact places you tell civilians to go. There’s plenty Isreal could do to reduce casualties, they simply won’t.
You don’t think that for the copyright laws to change we also need to change how we view it? How could you be properly critical of the copyright law if you refuse to make the distinction necessary for a certain type of criticism?
I get the “that’s not how the world is” argument, but you can’t talk about how the world could/should be by using only the word that describe the current state of the world. If you want to be critical of the existing system you need to develop a vocabulary that allows for such criticism.
For instance if you don’t make the distinction between the creator and copyright holder you can’t make criticism such as “you shouldn’t be able to copyright works that you haven’t created”. You can’t tell the difference between copyright owned by the creator and copyright owned by copyright owner because those two people are indistinguishable, so the entire criticism becomes nonsense.
I love it, because it’s becoming the de facto example of how you don’t need to a good businessman or a smart person or any other excuse people bring up to justify billionaires. I don’t need to spend time explaining how billionaires are not doing some magic to make billions, I can just point at Musk and say he is missing all the qualities the billionaires are supposed to have. In the end Musk is just a sadder real life version of this guy. Except there wouldn’t be any police for him.
alright, be cool be cool be cool, it’s just Margot Robbie.
Yeah I could totally do those one of AMA dooda thingies.
what the fuck was that abomination of a sentence? Okay okay okay, let’s just try to smooth our way out of it.
Bye
I just realized that I called esteemed character performer Margot Robbie a goon. Many apologies. I respect your dedication to the craft.
You should do an AMA. How did it feel being touched by god?
I disagree. I stopped watching when Spike was scoped in on Vicious and didn’t kill him. Anime Spike would’ve never let Vicious go because this is how Spike reacted when someone mistook him for Vicious. You don’t get that pissed off unless you really hate someone with every fiber of your being. I had other issues with the live action as well but I’ve clearly wiped my memory of its existence. Only the Spike thing remains because it’s the reason I stopped watching.
