After this election I’ve had to cut a bunch of people out of my life, even relatives. A lot of them saying such wonderful things as “trump’s just saying things, he doesn’t actually mean anything he’s saying.” And then they’d get defensive when I’d ask them why they votes for him then if he doesn’t mean anything he says.

It’s really hard to cut people out of your life but afterwards it’s amazing realizing that you don’t need to tip toe around things that may be vaguely political (or explicitly) anymore to not start an argument.

Back in my day we knit those bits into place. That’s where the really cool projects are.

But honestly if they’re being so petty of you missing 1 party it might be time to look more deeply at the kind of relationships you have with them

Personally I haven’t seen most of my relatives in years due to a great many of them being really shitty people or being complacent when those shittier relatives are being shitty. And it’s been pretty nice how much my stress levels have gone down during the holidays.

Switching to Linux, my comment was pretty poorly worded due to staying up almost 6 hours later than I normally do

Primarily Lightroom at this point

I’ve used Darktable as an alternative before and I’m going to be trying it again as it was back in 3.something I last used Darktable

I really like the editing process in Lightroom but I’m hoping I can get used to something else

Davinci Resolve is one that I’ve used a lot and I’m happy there’s a Linux version, and the payment method is something I really enjoy about it compared to other editing software

They could have done so much with it, instead they made an ammo box with a lens on it

Hell it’s the year I’m switching

At this point it’s just Adobe keeping there
