I hope the scene learns from this. Use a VPN, have a completely different identity. Use a different browser, use a different handle, and don’t use any persobal info. If you are taking donations, use crypto.
Looking at the timing, I guess it was part of the settlement. 😅
Thank you for the information.
Thank you for the information and the link.
Edit: I just ran this. This site basically says I am unique because of I updated my OS on my old computer. There are a lot of other factors but those are the main ones. This is so interesting. I’m gonna do more research on how to mess these variables up. Thank you very much for this. Bookmarked.
I don’t have my adblocker on and I get the “Your YouTube history is off” message. I cleared my cookies specifically for YouTube and Google. I still get that message.
When I go to Private mode in Firefox, the message disappears. Same thing happens when I change my User Agent in Developer Mode and changing device size.
Makes me wonder how they are specifying my non private tabs…
Article also uses the term “eggheads”.
To go from keystroke sounds to actual letters, the eggheads recorded a person typing on a 16-inch 2021 MacBook Pro using a phone placed 17cm away and processed the sounds to get signatures of the keystrokes.
Can’t say. I haven’t checked it out yet.

The fun of BBS is the lack of privacy. You have to connect with your telephone number to someone else’s phone number. If you thought your IP addresses was important to keep safe, imagine your phone number.
I’m half joking. I’m not sure but servers didn’t have some caller ID program. I think it would show up on the phone bill though.
i’ve heard both so I checked.
From Wikipedia:
A bulletin board system (BBS), also called a computer bulletin board service (CBBS),[1] is a computer server running software that allows users to connect to the system using a terminal program.
So yes, you are correct.
I hope the cash he got from banks is backed by his stocks in Tesla. But what do I know, look what happened to Silicon Valley Bank. Banks aren’t smarter in investing than the rest of us apparently.
Wow. I was being sarcastic. That’s how stupid I think this law is. Lol
Sounds insane. Another law where the only people it affects negatively are non criminals.
Why do they not see that encryption can happen in any form of communication even if they do get their backdoors? Are they going to make all encryption illegal?
Link to issue. You can see people’s theory of why it’s happening there.
I just use “Top 6 Hours” for now.
Sure thing. I kinda feel like I just told everyone I get out of a car through the window and I never knew you could open the door. Lol. Thank you for you positivity.
I didn’t know about this. Just looked it up on Mac (MacOS). It’s the Globe Key + E. If you don’t have a Globe Key, it’s FN Key + E.
Since before version 64, ~2018. There were a bunch of add-ons adding it back in to the menu since Mozilla decided to get of it from the menu but still keep functionality. Besides that, I have no idea how far back they had it.
Meta also owns Instagram. The comment in the comic would have better directed at that platform
