Jelly_mcPB@lemmy.worldto Antiwork@lemmy.world•McDonald’s, Chipotle to hike menu prices after California Gov. Newsom approves $20 fast food minimum wage1·2 年前A double double is not the same as a big mac, a double cheeseburger is probably closer and its 2.97 in California. And probably 10 cents more to add lettuce. It is true that the dd is a bit bigger but not twice as much, and not as big as the double qpc. Mcdonalds is trash anyway.
Jelly_mcPB@lemmy.worldto Antiwork@lemmy.world•McDonald’s, Chipotle to hike menu prices after California Gov. Newsom approves $20 fast food minimum wage1·2 年前3,000,000,000÷ 2,200,000 = 1,363 dollars or 163 dollars a month. Thats still not a decent wage. I think you think I’m on McDonald’s side. I’m not, but I also don’t think you understand, why it would still be necessary to raise prices on their food to pay a good bit higher wage.

You got exactly what your payout would be, as a single mom, with 2 kids in income tax, for one year, so what after that? You sound like a 15 year old kid that is terrified at getting their first job to help your parents pay for their phone, car, and insurance on said first car. There are 50 jobs that you would never need to worry about this in. Maybe you wouldnt need to worry about any of that nonsense. Maybe you can’t be an alternative artist that " arts" for 12 hours a week, but you can still make a livable wage off a trade, or a little higher learning.
Jelly_mcPB@lemmy.worldto Antiwork@lemmy.world•McDonald’s, Chipotle to hike menu prices after California Gov. Newsom approves $20 fast food minimum wage11·2 年前Fired, they would all be fired. If you dissolve a company, there is no more company. For every billion dollars, you are talking about 450 bucks. Per person. While there is certainly a lot of bloat, it would knew cap them to get rid of management. It would any company. I’m not saying there is no need for reform and change, but in lots of companies even local management gets stock options.
Jelly_mcPB@lemmy.worldto Antiwork@lemmy.world•McDonald’s, Chipotle to hike menu prices after California Gov. Thats 2,200,000 for every 100 million you took from the executives, you could give every employee a $45 bonus.

Jelly_mcPB@lemmy.worldto Memes@lemmy.ml•May as well buy burgers in the US, since you already paid for most of it through taxes!21·2 年前Hey mathematician, there are nearly 40 million cows in the US between beef and dairy, times that by 100 hundred, and that means we would need 4 billion acres to sustain them. There is only 2.4 in all of America. You dolt.
Jelly_mcPB@lemmy.worldto Memes@lemmy.ml•May as well buy burgers in the US, since you already paid for most of it through taxes!22·2 年前Cool cool cool, guess who grew up in Texas around 100 ranches? You aren’t accounting for how many times / much hay can be harvested from an acre of land, especially when you are talking about bahaia. While it may cost you a little more, to transport it to northern states its not 100 acres per cow. If your grandfather was a rancher, he definitely isn’t taking his cues from one granddaughter, especially if that’s how he raised your parent. We are a omnivores. We can get everything we need from both plant and animals, but as far as full chain amino acids- proteins, it is far more efficient from animals. The sad thing is we import a lot of meat, oddly enough from countries that don’t have near the land mass, and more people per acre than we have here and less regulation on how said how the meat was raised, so tell me if it take 100 acres of land to raise 1 head of cattle is possible?

It’s amazing you used standardized test stats, while I believe the test are part of the problem. When I was in school, you learned the subject, and the standardized test was a decent level. Now, all the subjects are should be called reading comprehension, because that’s how they teach. Teachers are held to teach their students how to pass the test. Extra school funds are tied to percentages based on test scores. So they pass out, and teach off of, worksheets that are mirrored off of these test. So they don’t teach science, hey teach you to answer the multiple choice questions after reading about science. Everytime my kids bring homework home i ask them if all of their work is like this, this being reading comprehension worksheets, and they say “pretty much”.
