Ours had a really sluggish menu with ads until we disconnected it from the internet. Now it has zero ads and the menu to switch sources is as fast as it should be.

I wish I had never connected it to begin with though. I didn’t know better. It used to default to whatever console was on, but it updated and no longer does that for some shitty reason. So I have to go through the menu and manually switch sources now. Probably to make sure I saw all the ads before using my playstation. Assholes.

My game library was what was holding me back too. Now I just have to see if animationdesk runs on linux and I’ll be all set make the switch.

If it doesn’t I don’t know what I’ll do. I haven’t found any other animation programs built primarily around onion skinning. I don’t need AI to create the tweens for me. I just want a bare bones program that let’s me do everything by hand.

I’ll have to check when I get out of work today and if it’s all good I’ll probably start researching installation processes this weekend. I don’t know much about Linux, but I guess I’m about to learn

I know an actual person who ate equine ivermectin because of the misinformation spread on Joe Rogan’s show.

The individual who did this was going on about worm larvae living in the masks made in China, and that’s what is making people sick and not covid. That’s why masking is bad and ivermectin good.

Apparently this is the quality of the information he promotes. He doesn’t even take responsibility for it. He hides behind free speech and being a “comedian.” Neither of those things absolve a person from being responsible with their platforms. Especially when it contributes to making a worldwide public health crisis worse.

Also, for the record I semi-recently found out he was a comedian. I always thought he was some Alex Jones type pushing fucked up conspiracy theories. And I honestly still believe that. He’s not funny and he pushes harmful conspiracy theories.

He’s no better than Alex Jones.

Birth control is nothing more than a form of medical technology. People against birth control and abortion(also medical technology) are Medical Luddites.

They must be afraid of losing their jobs at crisis pregnancy centers, or be afraid they won’t be allowed to shame young single mothers anymore.

The animal industry feeds the plants as much as the plants feed the animals. I’m not sure how vegans feel about synthetic fertilizer like miracle grow, but that’s what will have to be used in place of manure if the meat industry goes away.

Many of the organic crops grown use animal manure to fertilize the plants. I know you can use seaweed and other plants for compost(weeds are already composted back in via tilling, seaweed requires harvesting from the ocean or long distance shipping from farms), as well as cycling crops to prevent nutrient deficiency…

BUT manure doesn’t just add nutrients. It adds beneficial bacteria that helps keep the soil healthy and make the nutrients bioavailable to plants. It conditions the soil for water retention, and helps break up clay soil and add organic matter to sandy soil.

Will vegans keep animals just for manure? Or will organic lables on food be less important? Are we going to start scraping the forests for leaves to chop up an add to farm soil? That can’t be good for forests though. I guess I’m just confused about how to maintain large farms without access to large amounts of manure.
