Maybe because most programs you’d use (browser, word processor, spreadsgeets, etc) requires 8+ gb, and the non-windows side of MS wanted the requirements so edge, word, excel, etc are guaranteed to actually work on every computer that ships with those programs?
Ooo wefwef finally renamed itself
Lmao I literally did a double take with your name and the post
Woah, so the big 3 (Mastodon, Kbin, and Lemmy) of the fediverse text/discussion-based social media can all used from a single account/feed. That’s awesome!
Nowaday, you could also use the drone method for a similar effect
I’m using 3 accounts on 3 seperate instances. Everything seems to work fine?
No seriously, evolution fucked up it’s cable management. iirc, there’s a nerve (essentially the biological equivalent of a data cable) that has an extreme detour, going from the upper neck, looping under the aorta (more or less the largest blood vessel), and then back up all the way to the throat. In giraffes, it’s 4+ meters going down the neck and then back up. That is horrible cable management and can actually cause health risks/complications for certain surgeries
Even as an american, my mind went to cracked (as in /c/crackwatch, cracked games, etc) as the piracy term, and pipe, as in pipeline (like newpipe, etc)
Honestly, with how fritzy the top few instances have been due to the recent traffic, I’d argue you did the opposite of err.
You forgot discord and the username changes, which happened a few weeks ago
I mean, I get the point that Linus was trying to make, but man he really could have worded it better. As it stands it feels like an “akshually” merged with a technicality-gotcha
