Isn’t the GPU used for the application defined by the monitor it is opened on and on which GPU this monitor is then connected to?

I use portmaster on my fedora instance. I disabled blocking all from LAN and made a custom rule set to allow some devices and block all others.
49·1 year agoImagine Apple shares a patch and the UK does not approve the install. Ok nice. Now everyone knows a vulnerability that affects most of the Apple devices in UK. What could go wrong.
Chrome was not always based on chromeium. Chrome was based on Apple WebKit until 2013 when they forked WebKit and made the Blink engine.
You don’t have to self host it. It works like TeamViewer. You install it on both the client and host and with the ID and Password you can then access your remote client. But if you want more control/privacy you can host your own relay server.
RustDesk. Also possible with selfhost servers.
Beeper is maybe an alternative. It is basically a matrix bridge. But not only for WhatsApp, also for signal and iMessage and many more. (Now in Beta, later 10$ a month subscription) https://www.beeper.com
But when Apple ships the replacement battery with the Apple self service tools that they have today. Would that even change something for the iPhone? The amount of expertise is questionable.
18·1 year agoThe same problem is in politics in Germany. They vote only for the big politicians who have already a big group of supporters and so a high chance to win. Like „ I don’t vote for xyz because they have only 0.5% of voters in Germany and can’t change anything by that“ . With this attitude they also grow very slowly.
2·1 year agoI used FairMail. Nice and minimalistic with focus on security and privacy. Also OpenSource. Bought premium back then I had it. (I don’t have Android anymore , that’s why I can’t use it)
It would be a nice world were people only need 1-2 messaging apps. Google chats and iMessage. Yes I know that they are not open source and so need to be blindly trusted with our data.
