Probably not the kind of hardware you’re thinking of but I have an old Roland synthesizer, an Edirol SD-90, that did not work on Linux. Now, I didn’t expect it to given the hoops I had to jump through just to get it to work on modern windows. So Linux seemed out of the question already. But can be a big deal depending on what you use your computer for.

LettyWhiterock@lemmy.worldto Linux@lemmy.ml•What problems can I expect using Linux (Fedora) with an NVIDIA GPU?21·13 days agoI had to switch back to Windows for now since game performance was noticeably worse with my Nvidia card on Fedora vs Windows. Something running at around 130-144fps cutting down to 80-9fos as an example. So be prepared for that. From what I gather it’s unique to Nvidia.

Really though, what was the main use for this kind of chat app? Genuinely since I assume there is one, I just don’t know it since I never had a reason to use it. Was it encrypted? Cause I get using specifically encrypted messaging systems, but if it’s not, was it that good of an option over other chat apps?

LettyWhiterock@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Microsoft Gives European Union Users More Control: Uninstall Edge, Store, and Say Goodbye to Bing PromptsEnglish5·1 month agoI’m sad to say I had to drop Linux for a while because I run Nvidia. I heard that AMD is fine, and that Nvidia is baaaadically fine with a few issues still so I gave it a shot. But games just genuinely run noticeably worse with an Nvidia card. Games would lose 20-30 frames. Maybe not a big deal with my setup if I was using a 60hz monitor since most were still above 60, but I’m using 144hz.
It sucks too because it’s not fedora or Linux as a whole’s fault. It’s Nvidia’s.
Thought about keeping it but already had a few things I needed to dual boot windows for. If I still need windows for gaming, basically that leaves idly browsing the web as fedora’s main use. And I think that’s a bit overkill.
Looking forward to eventually getting an AMD card (Legit if you’re reading this and thinking about upgrading or building a new PC and think there even a small chance you’d go with Linux in the future, go AMD) or even just a whole new build. That way I can just delegate my current machine for those few tasks I need windows for, and have a main machine for general use.

The issue is we’ve encountered so few elves that it’s impossible to say really anything about them as a whole. Maybe that is just how female elves look, maybe frieren and serie are just weird, or something else. But either way, we’re basically just going on what little we’ve been shown which could change later.
Personally though, I don’t actually mind the 1000 years old but looks like a child trope if it’s not using it as an excuse to sexualuzed the character. Which they really aren’t doing here.
And on the other hand, I also don’t think Frieren looks like a kid. This is pretty common, I’ll see people point out a character who’s a bit short and sometimes flat (though that’s not always the case even) and say that they look like a kid while I don’t see it. So I don’t know if it’s me or what. Serie does look more like a kid to me though.
But we get back to the fact that she’s not being sexualuzed anyway, so again, I don’t personally take issue with it.
Having read through DragonBall recently, yeah the really early stuff is very lewd and perverted. By the start of the Z saga it’s basically gone from what I remember. So it’s very jarring.

It’s vague still as a native speaker, I imagine most people’s first instinct would be that “best” would be least antisemitic and “worst” would be most. The meaning in wording like this comes from whether or not what you are ranking people on is good or bad. To most people, antisemitism is bad. (or at least I’d hope) So “best” would mean “least”.
A better way of phrasing the question would just be to ask to rank them most to least antisemitic. That would be much less vague.
