Not even professionals like Torvalds would have the ability to to all that
To change the warning? Are you serious? That’s basic stuff. Like really basic.

You seem to know a lot. So why not make those changes yourself? If you want bigger flashier warnings then do it. There is nothing stopping you. Depending on your skill you could have had it done in less time than you spent on this meme and thread.
I’m not trying to be argumentative but you sound like you want the linux community to build what you want and disregard their own wants. In addition, you want the community to be extra super nice to you when they do it. The sense of entitlement is astounding.
A good one would also be the whole debate about warning measures in apt so it doesn’t just happily remove essential system components like xorg.
Yes, there was that single safety measure.
You are contradicting yourself.
There’s a good reason fatal warnings are almost always red or yellow and there are literally pictograms of human skulls in warning signs.
I mean this is the most respectful way possible… You are looking for a walled garden that protects its users. Linux is not that, never has been, and probably never will be. There are other options like Windows and MacOS that fill that role.
There are some extremely toxic members of the community but your complaint comes from the way Linux runs. If you/they don’t like how it runs then why are you forcing it?
You asked for evidence.
Then you disputed the evidence presented.
Then you admit that there was evidence but not enough to prosecute. That was the same evidence you just disputed.
Seems like you won’t be satisfied with anything other than your preconceived beliefs.
A few months before I completely left Facebook all I saw on my feed were ads. Absolutely no content from friends. The only way to see that they had updated anything was to go to their page. I would follow them and still no updates on my feed at all.
Facebook is not a social network, now it is only an ad network and the ads were rarely relevant. It’s not even good a being shitty.
My comment was a reply in kind of your comment calling others stupid. I even quoted you to point that out. I guess I should have drawn a picture because you still didn’t get it.
And you get upset about 1 upvote. That’s pretty pathetic.
you’re too stupid/ignorant to change a setting.
I think you’re too stupid/ignorant to get Linux working. What kind of moron defends windows here? I think the kind that can’t understand a command line and only knows how to click boxes. Don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong with being stupid, but don’t be stupid and think you’re smart. That’s embarrassing.
And use 10x the electricity to get this slop.
abolish billionaires and extreme wealth inequality
This needs to be done first before any universal support is even possible. The billionaires are stealing our universal everything.
Some of the photo backups I stored on Google Drive were corrupted over time. Lucky I had other backups. No issues anywhere else, only Google corrupted files. I will never trust their storage again.
Thank you for this. I knew how the strategy plays but not the name.
It’s mathematically sound because you do guarantee a net positive with enough of a bankroll. As I have mentioned in other comments here this is not a strategy that can be used in the real world.
You even admit it would work with absurd amounts of money… The math works.
It’s actually the strategy with the best return of any strategy, including card counting. In any blackjack strategy you need a large bankroll to take advantage of the law of large numbers.
Seriously, this works so well and is the reason for table limits.
Because you will never find a no limit blackjack table you cannot actually apply this strategy in the real world. But it is mathematically sound.
Try not to die for your country or beliefs. Make the other guy die for theirs.
You misunderstood. A person doubles the bet on the next hand after a losing hand. This is different than doubling down on a 9, 10, or 11 during play.
Not on topic but that is actually a valid strategy for blackjack. It is the reason that table limits exist. Otherwise doubling down every loss will eventually net you a positive.
For global politics is still next level stupid.
I’m not offended. I was a bit of an asshole though and I apologize for that but I wasn’t offended. Your point about timing the market was valid.
I know it wasn’t personal but you did ‘attack’ my comment. Not the right word but I hope you get my meaning.
Advising people to try to time the market is terrible advice.
This is why I replied the way I did. I was not giving advice, but we know that already.
As for you advising new investors, good on you. I was not trying to do that. I was trying to answer a hypothetical question with knowledge from personal experience.
I actually considered writing “This is not financial advice” in the original comment but thought my preface was enough.
I agree with you about not timing the market.
I did not give advice. I answered a hypothetical question. I even prefaced my response to show I wasn’t knowledgeable. Did you miss that part? It was right there at the beginning of the text that you have a problem with.
Okay. Now I understand. Thanks for taking the time to clear that up for me.
Couldn’t they reverse the ruling on his immunity? They reversed Roe v Wade with the flimsiest of justification. They could do the same here. I realize I’m being hopeful.
