I think both are true. I know plenty of people that take absolute undeniable pride in working 50-70 hour weeks every week and never taking a day off. It’s like their life’s defining characteristic.

This is the problem. It doesn’t matter. For every interpretation one may have, someone else has an interpretation somewhere else in the scriptures that says the exact opposite according to them. The book itself is such a giant catchall for any motive one may have it’s almost comical at this point. Virtually anyone can use it as evidence of support for or against just about anything.

I get that but let’s look at this rationally. The grocery stores know their business (or at least I hope they do). So they either did one of two things.

1. They made a goal that they knowingly could do nothing about and prices went up and the value of the dollar went thru the floor.

Or

2. They made a goal that they believed they could do something about and prices went up and the value of the dollar in their store went thru the floor.

In either case I would say they absolutely dropped the ball.

Yes I did. And I understand that it’s not really on the grocery stores that the prices are increasing. But it’s still funny when the goal of a company is literally to “drive down prices for our customers or how to increase value for them so that they’ll feel their dollar went further” aaaaamd nothing but the exact opposite is happening. yeah i read mostly sci fi books so around like 300-400 pages all text and i’d say the average e-book for them is like 150-200kb’s so if it were books like that you’d be looking at stuffing like 300,000 books on there.

That’s really interesting. I’ve lived in 9 states and I can honestly say that outside of the southeast, it is legitimately difficult to consistently find people that dont think the us is a flaming sack of shit or at least headed that way. Seriously, I’ve heard waaaaaaaaaaaaay more negative talk on the us from Americans than anything positive. Especially in like the last decade. But this place is so damn big that anyone’s experience would vary a crazy amount so that makes sense.

MS, ALS, and Alzheimer’s are probably the diseases I hope they cure the most at some point. Those 3 are just so ruthless and so hard on everyone. Every time I see something like this I’m super excited but I also feel like I’ve been hearing stuff like this for decades now

Yeah I was wrestling with this in the same way. It’s too hard. That’s not even mentioning that cognitive function or mental acuity isn’t really a straight or constant line. You could test someone who’s off in outer space most days but you test them on the right day they’d ace any cognitive test you put in front of them.
