I think it has a lot to do with her ADHD. Either way she is still alive.
I think it has a lot to do with her ADHD. Either way she is still alive.
Some folk like my spouse would randomly take a huge gasping breath. She was, and is, always forgetting to breathe. Since she has started learning to belly breathe and it is starting to become more autonomic her gasps have reduced. That being said she still forgets to breathe.
I don’t know how much patience you have for long term efforts. I have done this for other issues. Meditate on it. Spend initially 5 minutes a day and then lengthen and increase frequency to something like 10-20 minutes 2-3x a day. Figure out what works for you.
Recreate the situations and scenarios where you get triggered. And be in the situation. Stew in it. Notice more and more how you react. What is happening before your reaction? What is happening in the space between each reaction. You most likely will not find out the solution while in meditation. But the meditation will ingrain the ability to slow your processes down. So when you’re back in the situation you will start noticing the issues that are making you lose it.
Once armed with that knowledge you’ll either find new coping mechanisms or you’ll have better information for a mental health professional to help you see those new coping mechanisms.
Rinse and repeat.
The only way to know is to finally find the trigger and if the “addiction” goes away as a result. I found out a few things about myself that helped me to kick my desires that were running me ragged. Definitely wasn’t an addiction. Now finding out that I have other things on the other side that are keeping me from being able to be completely balanced. We are very complex beings.
Fun. I kind of wish this was the world tree.
I’m confused by this idea. Maybe I’m just seeing it from the wrong point of view. If you asked me to do the same thing I would fail miserably.
I think it’s safe to say that op is only stating that people that don’t have meaningful relationships are ultimately substituting with a hollow replacement. Not that they’re addicted. More so that they’re misinterpreting it as addiction.
Hot dog in a holeway?
Well. If it was and you are alive now. Perhaps this will help you let go and the dream will eventually stop happening.
I found out because sometimes my finger will involuntarily press down without me noticing. Lol
Soo you’re saying we should melt you down and make Legos out of you?
So specific it might be a past life/death experience.
Ah yes. So frustrating how Nintendo keeps patching all the fun hacks/glitches in tears of the kingdom.
Like others have said, I have started asking first if they need an ear to complain to or are searching for answers and solutions.
I think everyone could do with starting the conversation with “I don’t need solutions. Would you mind listening to a problem I’ve been having?”
Yes. Hear me out though. Sometimes the stress of the problem makes those solutions easily forgettable. It’s good to have someone ask the obvious questions. It also helps them to find out where you are in your troubleshooting so if they do have something that might work that wasn’t addressed they can provide that as an option. People don’t typically get instant downloads of everything that’s been tried.
Actually fucking God is a bad idea.
I think you’re doing what I found I was doing a little while ago. Concentration is the ability to bring yourself back to what you ultimately want to do. Absorption is the exclusion of all else. I think you want absorption and your concentration is likely fantastic. Most people concentrate really well and don’t realize it.
Thanks. I’ll check it out.
Are there any simple instructions. I swear everything is seen just goes over my head.
