Nah, there will be hundreds of opportunities. You take the one you can. Resist at all costs.
That’s gonna be my version of old people saying “I don’t do computers” now. There’s no goddamn way I’m putting a chip in my brain.
Fuck them. If they’re such children that they’re willing to watch the world burn because the side that is looking to help them is smug, they can gargle these nuts and go fuck themselves. I’m done coddling these idiots.
Wait, really? I thought he was addicted to crack.
Child’s Play still seems good, thank God.
I’d say try renting a power washer to see if that is for you before sinking money into it as a business.
Make good movies.
I wasn’t saying that, I was just asking what your solution was. I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about healthcare and going the doomer route that nothing can be changed, everything will always be awful, just shut up, accept it and die.
So, what’s your suggestions?
Do you have a solution to help the situation, or do you just like to complain?
Look man, we’re not giving it to you. Please stop asking.
My favorite version of this was an ad for applebees that said “you belong here!”. Like, I know that they meant it to be welcoming, but it came across as vaguely threatening …
My eyes mixed up Susan Collins and Tom Cotton, so I said outloud “What did Tom Collins do?”
I think I’m cute
I was walking past a parked cat at the hospital the other day, and the driver was all pissed because they put one of those violation stickers on it, and she was just dropping off food. It was parked in an intersection. In the crosswalk. Under the “No Stopping For Any Reason” sign. At a children’s hospital. I didn’t have a lot of sympathy for her.
Seeing weird anime and other TV during late nights in my teens. Also discovering video games I hadn’t known about. There was mystery back then, and now everything feels discovered.
I still have to read those. The first 3 books had such a satisfying arc and conclusion, that I wanted to step away before continuing.
The Bobiverse seems inviting. But the entrance requirement seems steep.
Yeah, that’s my problem with Lemmy right now, I don’t see the discussions I am used to finding on Reddit.
For example- the new balance datasheet for Warhammer 40K came out, and I wanted to see what the changes actually were and what they meant for my faction (Leagues of Votann), but that conversation wasn’t happening. I could start it myself, but I am ignorant - I still don’t know enough about Warhammer to understand the effects of the changes. I checked the Leagues of Votann discord, but couldn’t find any reasonable conversations. I tried going back to when the datasheet was released to follow the conversation, but it was hard to follow, and the app kept resetting me to the newest statements. I had to go back to reddit to see what people were saying.
Flintstones was mostly for adults. It was prime time. Hell, they advertised cigarettes!
