  • Mad disrespect to you as well!, Mr. I’m Totally Super Smarty For Real Pants!

You know “computers” originally referred to people that would compute equations, right? I didn’t realize there were people that thought we actually built computers because they were less powerful than our existing computers.

You really do learn something (about the average level of education) every day

  • I mean, do you know anyone that would actually care about this? How many would sit and read/watch a story about it out of their own interest? How loud would you have to be to get heard?

The average American is simply too stupid (read: “overworked”) to care about any kind of personal civic duty. We’re too busy thinking of everything we wish our country would do for us, not what we could do to save the country. Tbh, must of us don’t even know what good citizens are supposed to do

  • It can be an insult but it doesn’t have to be. I mean, I’m literally specifying it as such in that sentence. I don’t see ignorance as a bad word. I consider it the default state. There’s lots of things I’m ignorant of - caring for horses, for example.

The definition of ignorant is literally something basic like lacking knowledge.

Fair enough though. Again, I thought it was common knowledge by now - what with all the kids in cages and whatnot.

It’s always surprising how much faith people continue to have in our demonstrably horrible institutions.

Edit: I should also clarify, I’ve never seen ignorance as a bad word. It’s literally the default state for all the information we’ve yet to learn.
