see… but… i don’t think the dickhead wants the farmland in ukraine, i think he hates ukrainian people. he’s mad they don’t just fall in line and do what he wants. they have their own culture, and their own ideas about how the world should work, and those ideas don’t involve him being in charge of them. i’m very close with some ukrainians and the one thing they share, despite very different backgrounds coming up, is a strong belief that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and the allowance to be one’s own true self.

that this idea is prevalent amongst ukrainian people even after so many centuries of russain oppression is dangerous to the russian autocrat. he rules through using terror to crush a person’s spirit to resist his power, and not only does ukraine resist, they give a place for other forces to resist, too, like siberian anarchists. he is not trying to gain land, i don’ think, i think he’s trying to kill an idea. he wants to kill the idea that anyone other than himself can be in charge

building these facilities must be funded by levies, and most jurisdictions vote no on most levies because no one ever feels like they can afford more taxes. really, if the world worked correctly, the richest people and companies would just pay for these things because society benefits them more than the rest of us, and we should receive benefits from society

one of my best friends told me in 2020 it hurt her feelings a little when people used the term. not because they hurt her feelings, but because it meant societally, our understanding of her and her family’s struggles came predominantly from people who hated them. it’s worth relearning for the people it effects.

i brought up ukraine because all the active genocides, the ones in Palestine, Ukraine, Sudan, the Congo, and the Gobi desert are interconnected. our world’s billionaires want us to blame minorities for our problems instead of them. i want to make it abundantly clear i think harris and biden suck, but it’s definitively not the same things under trump. the top ten billionaires are all already richer and our new regime will do nothing to hear us and slow these genocides. they will accelerate genocide and reduce our ability to find truth by inundating us with bullshit narratives about how it’s the left (the actual left, people like me) who are bad, actually.

he’s emboldening world leaders enacting genocide. netenyahu has already expressed plans to accelerate the genocides he’s enacting. zelenskyy, long a leader saying Ukraine would never give up any territory is planning to enter diplomatic peace talks and loss of territory will almost certainly be part of that.
