It’s stickers all the way down
Yeah, about half the time when I sit down to watch a movie, it’s one from my childhood. It’s oddly comforting to me.
Spaceballs is a legit classic, but I probably shouldn’t have been watching it when I was 7. My mom let us watch a ton of Mel Brooks movies for some reason, Blazing Saddles was another family favorite.
We watched Rescuers Down Under all the time, never had any idea it was actually a sequel, I didn’t see the first one until I was in highschool.
We grew up watching Blues Brothers, we’d watch it like every other week. That movie holds up so well, i still watch it occasionally.
Life as a repo man is always intense.
Me and my brothers loved the Asterix and Obelix books, we used to get them every time we went to the library. We probably read through most of them several times.
We also really loved the Tintin books, it was crazy to me when they made a movie from them, prior to that i had never known anybody else who had heard of Tintin.
If i ever got the opportunity I’d love to start collecting them, would be a real nostalgia kick.
Pretty sure that’s Hank Hill
My favorite was Cardi B being short for Cardigan Backyardigan
Yeah, that’s about the right energy. See also: that weird dude who wears a fedora and a duster who’s way too obsessed with katanas.
I love that miniseries so much, I rewatch it like every few months. Watching all the total denial in the face of terrible facts and consequences is endlessly fascinating to me.
The Uno twitter account said that they don’t but they’re a bunch of damn dirty liars
The heroes Lemmy needs
I look back at my childhood as the ‘good ole days’ mostly because of the no responsibilities thing. The more I learn about what stuff was really going on in the 90’s/2000s, the more I see there was no good ole days, just times when I was insulated from the harsh realities of the world.
Agreed, it was a steep learning curve just to even figure out how to use it. The concept of Lemmy is amazing but like you said, finding content is very unintuitive.
I think if there was some kind of database or reference for instances and the communities they have, it would be way easier to find what you’re into. Somebody way smarter than me should look into that ;)
Ah I see you too are a fan of Bailey Sarian
