Sometimes I try out the Pixel launcher again and am immediately turned off by the stupid left aligned “At a Glance” which it won’t let me remove and replace with the good-looking version that everyone else has.

“Recent” in this case being over three months? And I know Sync for Reddit worked that way, but the big argument for the massively increased prices was that development on Sync for Lemmy was going to be a full time thing. Instead, almost five months after release, it’s still missing basic advertised features
I haven’t had many issues with it yet, but I am very frustrated that after the initial burst of development (and subscriptions) development seems to have just… stopped.
Yeah, get yourself arrested for assault! That’ll show 'em!
I use an old Surface Pro 3 with PopOS and it works perfectly
Forgiveness is only possible once the offending behaviour is stopped. I suspect the Internet has never offered you forgiveness because you’ve never stopped your offending behaviour.
Yeah, definitely don’t ever get books from Amazon. I just use it for library books, or use Amazon to load my own epubs onto it
I’ve heard good things about Kobo, but I have an old Kindle Voyage that I absolutely love. It’s the perfect size, it has proper pages turn buttons (on both sides of the screen!), and the battery lasts forever. If it were just waterproof it would be the perfect device. And I’m happy with it being a Kindle because I can check out ebooks from there library and just have them show up on my ereader
Here’s one in my town:
Shitter’s full!
They keep making it harder to use ☹️ I miss when I could just long press the viewfinder in the camera and it would activate lens. Now it’s not even in the camera at all!
Wait what no that’s backwards
Or you can get the best of both worlds and use VSCode with the Neovim plugin! All the benefits of a GUI, but with vim keybinds for the editing!
How about a date stored as an integer?
Edit: and I’m not taking about a timestamp
I just finished reading that. Agree with all of that
Yeah, I’ve been pretty disappointed in the development. There are still features listed in “Coming Soon” for Ultra subscribers (of course, the ones I was most interested in), and it’s been a couple months since there was any work on it. The main argument for the (greatly) increased price was entirely focused on developing Sync now, but that does not seem to be the case
I keep hearing good things about Niagara, but it seems like such a shift from what I’m used to
Hm, should I try switching my old Surface Pro 3 from PopOS to Arch?
“Oh, really? Well, we don’t feel comfortable continuing your license to practice business in the United States!”
Aww, I just realized we didn’t have any at Thanksgiving ☹️
Very much so. My alarm has been increasing for a while, but no one else has seemed worried. The hasn’t really been an update in months and the app is still missing advertised Ultra features that a lot of us are paying for. The major argument behind the increased prices was that it would be full time development, but that’s clearly not the case
