The hasn’t really been an update in months and the app is still missing advertised Ultra features that a lot of us are paying for. The major argument behind the increased prices was that it would be full time development, but that’s clearly not the case

Sometimes I try out the Pixel launcher again and am immediately turned off by the stupid left aligned “At a Glance” which it won’t let me remove and replace with the good-looking version that everyone else has.

“Recent” in this case being over three months? And I know Sync for Reddit worked that way, but the big argument for the massively increased prices was that development on Sync for Lemmy was going to be a full time thing. Instead, almost five months after release, it’s still missing basic advertised features

Yeah, definitely don’t ever get books from Amazon. I just use it for library books, or use Amazon to load my own epubs onto it

I’ve heard good things about Kobo, but I have an old Kindle Voyage that I absolutely love. It’s the perfect size, it has proper pages turn buttons (on both sides of the screen!), and the battery lasts forever. If it were just waterproof it would be the perfect device. And I’m happy with it being a Kindle because I can check out ebooks from there library and just have them show up on my ereader

There are still features listed in “Coming Soon” for Ultra subscribers (of course, the ones I was most interested in), and it’s been a couple months since there was any work on it. The main argument for the (greatly) increased price was entirely focused on developing Sync now, but that does not seem to be the case
