Biden is hawkish on Israel because he remembers a version of Israel that doesn’t exist anymore. The stalwart of the Middle East is a shell of itself and it doesn’t want the rest of the world finding out. I know his age is a meme at this point but it’s worth pointing out here

We are bombarded almost daily with stories about people in power skirting accountability in a way we’ve never been able to before. We see happening in every facet of American life, how do you expect people to honestly have any faith in the system anymore?

I would have preferred the US foreign policy to be closer to what our founding fathers wanted, to stay the fuck out of everyone’s business. Same here, 04 was my first election so I was still under the haze of my parents politics but I remember very similar language being used back then.

It’s a popular issue being discussed at the top of my feed, of course I have opinions related to it. There aren’t a ton of articles with discussion about other Arab ethnostates running open air prisons on Lemmy, if your feed has some I’d love to hear some suggestions.
