Tried kagi due to all the yapping here on lemmy, 99% of the results are exactly the same as ddg, no matter what their “x% unique kagi results” says, which just strikes me as dishonest. If they’re going to lie to me about things I can check, why would I trust them when they say they don’t log or track?
There’s definitely some kind of astroturf marketing campaign going on here, this guy’s only interaction with the fediverse is posting a link to some softball piece review of an incredibly underwhelming service.
Pretty sure it is, I ended up trying the free trial because of all the yapping. Don’t bother. 99% of the results are the same as ddg.
The sms cost is for account creation and verification on new devices, being an sms client didn’t cost anything aside from maintaining that portion of the app
I tried kagi and wasn’t impressed. For all but one or two queries the results were exactly the same as ddg. Not to mention they had that stupid metric stating 78%+ unique kagi results for every search, even though that was blatantly untrue. They seem pretty dishonest as a company.
Plus 99.9% of people will never think of doing that
It’s a good option for people who don’t want to maintain a pc or want their game installs and updates to be instantaneous. You can play anywhere you have decent wifi so it’s kind of like having both a steam deck and a desktop pc, and probably cheaper than maintaining and upgrading both
This only really works if they start making games exclusive to gamespass
That would have changed within the last 6 months then, we had it then and as far as I know it was just a remote pc
I’ve been speculating that people raving about these things are just bad at their jobs for a bit, I’ve never been able to get anything useful out of an llm.
Unfortunately that hasn’t been my experience, but I’m only using it to find answers for things a couple ddg queries won’t solve because traditional search engines are so much faster
The only thing chatgpt does well is pump out corporate fluff, I’d say we’re already there.
The fucking rental is almost as much as 2 movie tickets where I’m at
It kinda crazy you can’t do this, wasn’t Microsoft forced to let you change default browsers in an antitrust suit?
The IBEW itself applauds Biden’s handling of the rail strikes https://www.ibew.org/media-center/Articles/23Daily/2306/230620_IBEWandPaid#:~:text=The IBEW and BNSF Railway, personal days to sick days.
Mccarthy doesn’t want to bring anything the hard right won’t vote for because he’s worried about losing the speakership.
If your cloud provider decides to screw you you’re gonna have to put physical infrastructure together no matter what license their software is distributed under.
Yeah This probably accounts for 90% of the issue.
In this case it’s likely partly a signal to noise problem that can’t be mitigated easily. Both children and dark skinned people produce less signal to a camera because they reflect less light. children because they’re smaller, and dark skinned people because their skin tones are darker. This will cause issues in the stereo vision algorithms that are finding objects and getting distance to them. Lidar would solve the issue, but companies don’t want to use it because lidars with a fast enough update rate and high enough resolution for safe highway driving are prohibitively expensive for a passenger vehicle (60k+ for just the sensor)
I got a set off ebay, Jesus christ they’re loud. I ended up returning them cause I could hear the grinding through my whole house
