  • It all relates to the density of energy in fuel.

Fossil fuel is so energy dense you can get away with pretty much any way to distribute/dispense.

what infrastructure are you left with? Trucks?

Trucks and most importantly thousands of strategically located gas stations. Even if you distribute a different kind and less dense energy I would argue it still makes sense to have spread out stations all over the place.

If we want to keep using our existing roads and highways we will need those stations even if they distribute something entirely different.

  • The idea of shipping liquid fuel in trucks and dispensing it out of hoses at special fuel stores is just silly.

I don’t necessarily disagree with that but I hope you see that this type of infrastructure is exactly what we currently have and have proven to work.

It wouldn’t be that stupid to reuse an existing infrastructure that is already built. The issue with our current fuel infrastructure is that it is moving fossil fuel.

    Good job !

I highly recommend trying out the various online regex editor.

These WISIWIG kind of editors are great because you immediately see what the regex is catching and for what reason.

I took the first one in my search results but try different ones.

    https://regex101.com/

Also I used GPT to get some regex for some specific strings and it can be helpful to get a quickstart at building a specific regex.

In that case I was building a regex for a specific log from postfix.

PS: just make sure to select the correct flavor of regex you are using in these online tools.

Edit: Also one of my favorite YT channels has pretty cool videos on RegEx : https://youtu.be/6gddK-cOxYc?si=0bnNkSDzifjdxwjU

I use DDG and if the result is not what I’m looking for, I add !g to forward the query to Google.

80% of the times, I need to add !g because DDG is clueless.

I wish I could say otherwise but Google search results are still better overall than DDG.

Sure, for some specific thematics, DDG will do better. But that’s for quite niche subjects.

Very surprised to see people talk about DDG like it’s at the same level or better than Google.
