This obviously assumes that you know exactly what metadata you want to eliminate and how to view it.
The OP’s whole point of asking is that they don’t know the former.

YouTube should just be government-run. No ads. Content creators can make money from sponsorships and Patreon. Which, incidentally, should also be government-run. And Twitter. These modern technologies should simply be public goods.
We should be making it optional. That will automatically make it better because now they have to work to make people go voluntarily.
I don’t think there is such a thing as “unwinnable people”. They’re unwinnable from a single conversation with a single person, sure. But they’re not unwinnable if the currently ongoing concerted effort by climate-denying mass media were instead directed towards delivering climate science.
Tldr: the problem isn’t the people who are brainwashed, the problem is the people doing the brainwashing.
Hot take: you don’t need a microwave oven at all. I’ve been living without one for 12 years now and I don’t miss it. It’s surprisingly rare for the instructions on food packaging to require a microwave; they almost always have options for ovens or stoves, too.

This data doesn’t show how many people click on the 2nd, 3rd etc. results instead of the first.
Yeah it does that when what you typed contains certain characters, such as the space.
Little nitpick, just to help people find it if they’re curious — it’s called ActivityPub.

BitTorrent requires people to be able to connect to each other directly. In a world where almost every home user is behind a router that does NAT, software is no longer able to just open a TCP connection because that requires a publicly open port. I realize that for desktop software some elaborate tricks exist to circumvent this, but how would a website be able to do that?
What’s the difference?
That would be easier for Reddit to just undo. It’s more effective to just not moderate at all and show Reddit what happens when anyone can post anything.
Oh boy, this is such an awesome story. Thank you for sticking it up to the abusive manager and entertaining us with the result.
Unfortunately I didn’t have the guts to do this. I used to work at a place where everything was fine until a new line manager was installed who moved me to a different desk in another building. That desk was right next to the server room, which was noisy with a constant low-pitched grumbling. I was not able to think or concentrate in that environment, so I would frequently take my laptop to another floor and do my work there. The manager was not happy about that and demanded that I should return to my assigned desk and stay there. I told him it would mean I wouldn’t be able to accomplish any work and he said something on the lines of “I don’t care”. I should have taken him up on that; I should have stopped working entirely and just browsed the web all day until he gets wind of it and finally admits that he does care. But I was too cowardly to dare. I continued to defy him by spending most of my time at the “wrong” desk though.
Technically true, but completely false in spirit.
Because you’ll be investing in, and therefore helping that company. Only a small fraction of the company’s profit is going to reach you. You’ll be part of the problem with capitalism.
