Wasn’t it something like he only gained about 500,000 votes from the last primary election? The reason the Democrats lost was because they lost 10,000,000 due to people just straight up not voting for Kamala by either going 3rd party, switching to Trump, or abstaining. In my opinion it wasn’t really Trump’s popularity that won him the election but more of just the Democrats lack of popularity.
I’d be on board if it was actually useful and accurate. But it has proven time and time again to be hot garbage 99% of the time as they shove it down everyone’s throat. They keep talking about it being a new age of AI and how it’s going to change the world but it’s only made the internet a worse place and changed nothing or made things worse.
I have nothing against the people that are working on AI and appreciate the work they do. However every time I see an article about a company using AI like this I just get the vibe that it’s a bunch of middle aged men trying desperately to make things like the “future” they saw when they were a kid. I’ve seen amazing implementations of AI in a lot of different ways but I’m so sick of dumb ideas like this because some guy that used to watch Star Trek as a kid wants to feel like they live in the future while piggybacking on someone else’s work. It’s like the painted tunnel in cartoons where it looks like a real tunnel but in reality it’s just a very convincing lie. And that’s all that it is. Complexity does not mean sophistication when it comes to AI and never has and to treat it as such is just a forceful way to make your ideas come true without putting in the real effort.
Sorry, I had to get that out. Also I have nothing against Star Trek and I used to watch it as a kid because my parents watched it all the time.
To each their own. I understand that dubs obviously miss things in translation and it is a valid argument. Sometimes the voice acting is trash. But at the same time I’m not gonna be a dick to someone for enjoying the same thing I do but different. A friend of mine that has never watched anime before we met has recently gotten into it and he watches dubs. We still have a lot of fun talking about the shows and he asks for recommendations all the time. The barrier for anime is pretty high for people that have never seen it before and the biggest way to turn people off of it is to tell them what they enjoy is wrong.
As an American that came from Reddit I completely agree. I never went to r/politics on Reddit for the same reason. Sixteen posts about some stupid shit Trump did or bullshit about Hunter Biden that I could not give two shits about. “Hunter Biden has porn! How scandalous!” While there is literally fucking riots and wars going on around the world because of political issues.
I’m so sick of rich old people that haven’t worked an honest day in years or even their entire lives telling me how I’m supposed to work. Like bitch, you probably don’t even understand what those people do for work you’re just mad they’re not as miserable as you want them to be. Or more likely not as miserable as they truly are on the inside…
