I wonder if this also applies to allow uninstalling Safari browser on MacOS, and allow other browser engines into iOS devices instead of WebKit Safari clones.

Wait, not those states rights!
I do agree Discord shouldn’t be used as a Gitlab issue tracker, yet development teams still insists on continuing this practice.
For me that’s the most egregious case of not letting users actually own their hardware. Samsung is notorious with this on their US Snapdragon phones.
Thanks to personal issues with faculty I have not finished my degree because of the bureaucracy involved.
Do you expect your average Discord user to bother going through such hoops?
On Android you can filter posts with the Eternity app.

I mean cool, but good luck convincing the vast majority of users leaving Discord for Matrix.
This development is beneficial for the Linux gaming ecosystem, proprietary be damned.
Here I am being a wage slave at $12.20/h
I’m just mostly waiting for Plasma 6 so I can use all the Wayland goodies it comes with.
Another thing I’m looking forward to is Wine-Wayland to be ready.
Maybe not your typical users, but a lot of open sourced software us Linux users enjoy have Windows versions easily available.
Firefox + uBlock Origin
You have the hardware ideal to switch to Wayland without any headaches.
Just make sure you’re running the latest stable release of Plasma.
You can also install Swaywm on your laptop and bring over your i3 dotfiles to it. Should be fully compatible.
I’m confused a bit. Is Infinity for Lemmy (now Eternity) developed by the reddit developer u/HostileEnemy, or a fork?
If it’s a fork, will future development follow upstream closely or are there plans to diverge (adding features not found on InfinityForReddit for example)?
Burlington be like
It is, I’m not knocking out the usefulness of the tech. I’m thinking more about how convenient it is for the average gamer vs. dual booting
Wtf is this reasoning lmao
Running a VM would imply dealing with VFIO. For a recently converted casual Linux gamer it’s better for them to dual boot than deal with that headache.
Will check these out. I’m using Outlook app since K-9 Mail has some annoying quirks still, but I’m looking very much into the rebranding of the app into Thunderbird.
Can’t wait to see this gone in the next 3 years.
